Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is the earliest undergraduate and postgraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine in China. The school is an excellent school for qualified evaluation of undergraduate teaching level by the Ministry of Education, and a university founded by Hubei Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. It has successively been selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest", Hubei Province "First-class Discipline Construction University", National TCM Clinical Research Base "Liver Disease Prevention and Treatment Base", National TCM Standardization Technology Training and Research Center, National TCM Information Management Center, Hubei TCM Continuing Education Base, National Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Key Cultivation Alliance, Hubei TCM Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and Hubei Industrial Technology Innovation Base. The school's predecessor was Hubei Chinese Medicine School, which was established in 1954. In 2003, the former Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine merged with the former Hubei Institute of Drug Control to form a new Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was renamed Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in March 20 10.
