■ Modern lifestyle makes urbanites visually "sub-healthy"

● Visual adaptation to the urbanized environment.

The development of human society today has an obvious feature, that is, the living environment is becoming more and more urbanized. While human beings are constantly changing the environment, they are also influenced by the changed environment. The urbanization environment, including natural environment and humanistic social environment, brings convenience to human beings, but also has a certain impact on their own functions and behaviors.

Speaking of vision, we all know that we can't see. In fact, vision and biological evolution are closely related processes. Human vision is the most perfect and highest level of vision in the development of biology. It can not only see things, but also have stereoscopic vision and visual cognitive process. In ancient times, human beings must have good farsightedness, tracking ability, motion vision and night vision ability to adapt to the living conditions and production methods at that time. Now entering the modern society, large and medium-sized cities have entered the stage of urbanization, and the change of lifestyle has new requirements for visual function and vision.

Humans receive external information, 80% of which comes from visual organs. In ancient China, people coined the word "smart", which means that a person has thoughts and wisdom. "Smart" means good hearing and "smart" means good eyesight. In fact, ancient people knew that a person's learning ability and ability to accept knowledge are closely related to his hearing and vision.

Artists say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. From the perspective of medical biology, the eyes are indeed the windows of the soul, because the only blood vessels that can be seen by the naked eye are the fundus blood vessels. Some systemic diseases such as arteriosclerosis can be found by fundus examination, and the only nerve that can be seen is the optic nerve in the cranial nerve. When a person loses his eyesight, he will not involve a person, but will bring pressure to his family and society.

● Visual "sub-health" deserves everyone's attention.

The development of science and technology has brought more visual feelings to human beings. Urban people enjoy a richer and more complex external world than rural people, and their visual cognition has developed unprecedentedly. Virtual reality technology has brought more visual experience to human beings. Generally speaking, in recent years, with the improvement of people's awareness of self-care, more and more people pay attention to eye health, and people can obtain knowledge about visual health through various media.

The influence of environment on people's visual function is multi-faceted and multi-layered. The changes of people's visual function and diseases brought by urbanization are also obvious. The most obvious example is that the incidence of myopia is getting higher and higher, and diabetic eye diseases, hypertensive eye diseases and the very popular "dry eye" are also increasing.

On the other hand, due to the continuous improvement of sanitary conditions, the incidence of infectious eye diseases and malnutrition eye diseases such as trachoma is gradually decreasing in cities.

More and more people begin to pay attention to sub-health of vision. Many people's eyes have no obvious organic damage, but it affects their usual quality of life. The Eye Center of Beijing Tongren Hospital conducted a survey of outpatients, and found that 60% of patients had different degrees of dry eye symptoms. They feel uncomfortable with their eyes, which are dry, tired and congested. In addition, long-term visual fatigue can also cause dark circles.

● It's all caused by city life.

Urbanization civilization has caused changes in human eye diseases and functions, and the incidence of myopia has gradually increased. The occurrence of myopia is not only related to heredity, but also to the environment, especially to long-term close reading. With the progress of society, the incidence of myopia will gradually increase in this century. From the perspective of human evolution, this is also an inevitable development trend, because compared with our ancestors, we rely more and more on the short-distance visual function, while the long-distance visual function takes less time, especially the urbanization environment further limits the development of some of our visual functions.

Although the structure of our "eyeball" has not changed much, the visual function has changed to a certain extent, and people's sports vision may be degraded to varying degrees, which may not be as sensitive as people who live in an environment with a wide field of vision for a long time.

Influenced by the environment, diet structure and living habits, the incidence of diabetes is increasing gradually, and the incidence of diabetic eye diseases related to it is also increasing gradually, which has become the third leading cause of blindness.

The pollution of atmospheric environment, the radiation of computer screen and various reflective substances in the environment cause the function of cornea, conjunctiva and lacrimal gland to decline, and the incidence of "chronic conjunctivitis" and "dry eye" can not be ignored.

With the development of urban traffic, the number of eye injuries is also increasing. At the same time, due to the expansion of the range of activities, there are more and more opportunities to contact harmful eyes, which increases the chances of eye injuries.

● Video terminal syndrome-office workers can't resist.

Video terminal syndrome refers to eye discomfort symptoms such as dry eye, dry eye, fatigue and chronic conjunctivitis. It may also be a kind of dry eye. Because of staring at the computer or computer screen for a long time, the blinking movement of the eyes is reduced, and the tears cannot be evenly distributed on the eye surface.

Long-term use of eyes is very harmful to eyes. For example, many people come to see a doctor now, saying that watching TV for a long time will make their eyes feel particularly astringent and dry, and sometimes they will have headaches, sore eyes and blurred vision. After operating the computer, playing video games or watching TV for a long time, problems such as eye fatigue, dryness, itching, burning pain and photophobia often occur, which makes office workers hard to prevent.

Due to the change of visual environment, the "video terminal syndrome" caused by watching TV and computer for a long time has increasingly become the main reason for the decline of teenagers' vision. In clinical treatment, ophthalmologists found that the occurrence of "video terminal syndrome" will increase greatly due to the change of visual environment.

Because the computer screen is composed of small fluorescent spots, the eyes must constantly adjust the focal length to ensure a clear field of vision. Over time, the eye muscles will be too tired. At the same time, when staring at the fluorescent screen, the number of blinks will be reduced by 10%, reducing the output of tears; Exposure of eyeballs to air for a long time makes water evaporate too quickly, causing dry eyes and discomfort, and even seriously damaging cornea. Frequent use of air conditioning in the office environment leads to accelerated drying of tears.

To prevent computer terminal syndrome, we should first pay attention to the following aspects:

■ Keep the distance between the computer screen and eyes at 50 ~ 60cm;;

■ Equipped with a special computer chair to adjust the seat height and backrest angle;

■ The geometric center of the fluorescent screen is preferably located below the viewing plane, but within the angle range of 15 degrees;

■ The most important thing is not to use the computer for too long at a time, and rest every 50 minutes 10 minutes.

■ Special emphasis should be placed on the importance of regular rest, which is the most effective way to prevent eye fatigue. It's best to stand up and walk every hour or so and look out of the window for a while. It is not only good for eyes, but also good for health. You can also drop some eye drops to keep your eyes lubricated. For eye discomfort caused by visual fatigue such as driving and reading, regular rest can also be used to adjust.

● White-collar workers suffer from "geriatric diseases"

Many diseases are closely related to aging, and the current situation is that the incidence of eye diseases among middle-aged and old-aged white-collar workers is getting higher and higher, but many eye diseases can be avoided or alleviated if they can be found and treated early.

The most common "senile" eye diseases of white-collar workers include high myopia, presbyopia, cataract and glaucoma. High myopia leads to vitreous opacity and floaters in front of us, which is related to the fact that white-collar workers do not pay attention to eye health care, so they should be checked regularly.

Presbyopia has always been a common disease of the elderly. After a certain age, due to the aging of the crystal, it loses its elasticity and its adaptability decreases, which leads to the blurring of the near objects. However, many people have presbyopia symptoms before the age of 40, which is related to incorrect glasses.

Cataract is caused by lens aging and opacity. At present, there is no cure, and surgery is the only effective treatment. For people whose future life and work are affected by severe cataract, surgery can help patients recover their good eyesight. Patients with mild cataract can wear appropriate glasses and sunglasses, and eye drops and oral drugs can delay the progress of cataract. White-collar workers usually wear sunglasses when they go out to prevent ultraviolet rays from hurting their eyes.

The cause of glaucoma is that aging blocks the outlet of tears, and the water in the eyeball can't be discharged smoothly, which leads to the increase of intraocular pressure, which in turn oppresses the optic nerve, resulting in visual acuity and visual impairment. It seems that people in China are more likely to get glaucoma, and emotion is one of the inducing factors. People over 40 should have their intraocular pressure checked at least once a year. If it is found early, medical measures can be taken to control intraocular pressure and prevent it from worsening.

■ Myopia is a lifestyle-related disease.

the?data?shows?that?... ...

■ The incidence of myopia is getting higher and higher. The myopia rate in Shanghai, Beijing and other large and medium-sized cities can reach 50%-60%. In medical colleges, the myopia rate is even as high as 70%-80%, and the myopia rate in the third and fourth grades of primary schools is also 30%-40%.

A recent survey shows that the incidence of myopia in primary school students in China is 22.78%, that in middle school students is 55.22%, and that in college students is as high as 76.74%.

China is a big country suffering from myopia. According to the survey of 1995, there are 300 million people suffering from myopia in the world, accounting for 33% of the global myopia patients, of which pathological myopia exceeds 2 million.

■ Some data show that the incidence of myopia in women is higher than that in men. There are many orientals and Jews, but few blacks. Cities are obviously higher than rural areas, which is also related to the level of social and economic development, occupation and education.

● The myopia rate in big cities is getting higher and higher.

Myopia is the most common ametropia, and people have known it for thousands of years. With the progress of civilization in modern society, the incidence of myopia is getting higher and higher, and it has become the highest incidence eye disease in the world today. Who has listed it as one of the blinding eye diseases that need to be solved urgently.

There are different opinions about the causes of myopia, but it is recognized that it is inseparable from long-term close work, which can lead to the ciliary muscle working in an extremely regulated state, which can become accommodative myopia (that is, general pseudomyopia) at the initial stage and develop into pathological myopia after it cannot be alleviated. Some people think that yellow people's genes are more prone to myopia. Many gene mutation points have been screened, but the real cause of myopia is still inconclusive.

In cities, people spend a lot of energy on close reading, and the incidence of myopia is getting higher and higher. The myopia rate in Shanghai, Beijing and other large and medium-sized cities can reach 50%-60%. In medical colleges, the myopia rate is even as high as 70%-80%, and the myopia rate in the third and fourth grades of primary schools is also 30%-40%.

In a metropolis, most of the information we rely on comes from books and the Internet. It can be said that 90% of the information is obtained through close reading. Therefore, eyesight depends on careful reading. Due to the change of life style and the further dependence on close reading, in order to adapt to this life style, people have produced a new so-called modern civilization disease-myopia.

● Treat myopia correctly.

Nowadays, many people still have misunderstandings about myopia. Once nearsighted, it is considered that there is something wrong with the eyes.

In fact, westerners are very calm about myopia, so western countries pay less attention to myopia than Asian countries. It is normal for westerners to wear glasses, and they don't even treat myopia as a disease. Wearing glasses is as natural as wearing a hat and umbrella. The orientals are different. Some people think that wearing glasses is not perfect, unique and unacceptable.

How to treat myopia correctly? Myopia is a lifestyle-related disease, and it is the evolution of survival of the fittest adopted by human beings to adapt to modern lifestyles. In order to cope with close work, you must have good close reading ability, but excessive adaptability leads to illness.

In order to reveal the influence of myopia on people's lives, ophthalmologists all over the world have conducted epidemiological investigations on myopia. The results show that the incidence of myopia varies greatly among different populations, regions and races.

China is a big country suffering from myopia. According to the survey of 1995, there are 300 million people suffering from myopia in the world, accounting for 33% of the global myopia patients, of which pathological myopia exceeds 2 million.

Some data show that the incidence of myopia in women is higher than that in men. There are many orientals and Jews, but few blacks. Cities are obviously higher than rural areas, which is also related to the level of social and economic development, occupation and education.

About 25% of adults in the United States suffer from myopia, and the annual cost of myopia examination and correction in the United States is $4.6 billion. China has not seen this report, but because the population and myopia prevalence rate in China are much higher than those in the United States, especially in big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, the population density is high, and the annual medical expenses are increasing, it is estimated that the expenses for myopia examination and correction in China will far exceed those in the United States. It can be seen that myopia has a growing impact on our work, life and economy. The prevention and treatment of myopia is becoming more and more important.

● Heredity is not the decisive factor of myopia.

We often divide myopia into simple myopia and pathological myopia, and the latter is often accompanied by various complications such as retinal diseases, cataracts and glaucoma, which seriously affects visual function.

Can myopia be inherited? There are many sayings at present. However, racial differences in the incidence of myopia suggest that myopia is a genetic eye disease, especially pathological myopia, which is mostly familial.

Research shows that subjects whose parents have a history of myopia are more likely to suffer from myopia than those whose parents have no myopia. In other words, children of people with high myopia are at high risk of myopia.

The genetic tendency of high myopia greater than 600 degrees is relatively large, and people with high myopia parents are high-risk groups of myopia. It can be said that in the case that both parents are highly nearsighted, the child has a close reading environment, and his chances of myopia will be much higher than others. Compared with genetic factors, lifestyle has a greater impact on myopia.

● Children's ametropia may come from the fetal period.

When people are born, their eyeballs are flat, and almost 100% are hyperopia. With the growth of people, the eyeball gradually stretches and becomes the right eye, and if it is too long, it becomes myopia. And a lot of myopia caused by excessive eye traction is due to the fact that modern people generally exercise less. From the beginning of pregnancy, the curse was planted and further deteriorated in the growth period.

In the past, when expectant mothers were pregnant, most of them worked until they gave birth, but now expectant mothers are more spoiled, sitting still during pregnancy, lying in bed for a long time, and lacking activities. On the one hand, it will increase the number of stunted babies, and at the same time, the poor health of expectant mothers may be passed on to the next generation.

According to statistics, infants who weigh less than 2,500 g at birth and premature infants who are earlier than 7.5 months are more prone to hypoxia, and the myopia rate in adolescence will be nearly 3.6 times higher than that of normal children. At the same time, expectant mothers lack exercise, and modern only children lack exercise, which weakens the elasticity of children's eyeball lens. In the development process, the eyeball is prone to grow too long and myopia occurs.

In the case of high incidence of ametropia, special attention should be paid to preventing adolescent ametropia. Parents should send their children to the hospital for examination as soon as possible once they find that they see objects differently.

There are three kinds of children's eccentric postures: 1, and they look at things with their heads tilted. 2. Oblique objects. 3. Look at your head. Once the above situation is found, parents should take their children for mydriasis optometry as soon as possible to determine whether their children are hyperopia, myopia or astigmatism, and treat them as soon as possible under the guidance of doctors, and should not believe in false medical advertisements.

● Night lighting will lead to an increase in myopia rate among teenagers.

The visual environment is closely related to myopia. The incidence of myopia in China ranks first in the world. According to a recent survey, the incidence of myopia is 22.78% for primary school students, 55.22% for middle school students and 76.74% for college students.

The occurrence of juvenile myopia is partly due to parents' inheritance of high myopia, and most of them are also caused by improper use of eyes, especially related to close work, such as insufficient light, too close reading distance, too long reading time, unclear or too small font, and poor posture, all of which are related to the occurrence and development of myopia.

The city lacks an environment that can provide young people with a long-term vision. Moreover, in cities, buildings such as roads and public facilities are often illuminated all night, which changes the natural rhythm of day and night changes of light. There is no real "night" in the city. A large number of studies have shown that the brightness of light can obviously interfere with the biological rhythm of animals and the secretion of melatonin in human pineal gland. Experiments show that children who sleep with lights on at night have a high incidence of myopia.

Professor Hu, a famous scholar in China, made an epidemiological survey of myopia among Chinese teenagers in the mid-1980s. The results show that the occurrence of myopia is obviously related to students' heavy academic burden and close use of their eyes. .

Simple myopia is not terrible.

Simple myopia is not terrible. You just need to put on your glasses. If you have special work needs, you can wear contact lenses and even do excimer laser surgery. The trouble is moderate to high myopia, that is, myopia develops to a certain extent, which leads to the lengthening of the axial length. When the retina and choroid degenerate, it will enter pathological myopia, which will bring about retinal detachment, fundus hemorrhage, vitreous detachment after liquefaction and other consequences, and even blindness. Therefore, moderate and high myopia has to become a problem of great concern to ordinary people and ophthalmologists.

Myopia children who have no family history of myopia and other genetic risk factors only develop moderate myopia in adulthood, while those children with risk factors and rapid development of myopia are likely to suffer from high myopia and pathological myopia, so it is particularly important to treat and intervene this group of people. Human efforts to prevent and hinder myopia have lasted for centuries, but the use of eye hygiene, eye exercises, some eye drops and instruments can only play a weak role, but it is ineffective for pathological myopia.

● Myopia correction needs to be faced squarely.

After optometry, parents found that they were really nearsighted 200 degrees, but parents did not let their children wear glasses, thinking that once they wore glasses, the degree would get deeper and deeper. Some teachers change their children's seats from the back row to the front row in order to let them see clearly, while others do not. These behaviors are all wrong, which will affect children's visual development. In addition to aggravating myopia, strabismus and amblyopia will also occur.

In my opinion, wearing glasses is a better way to correct vision. Therefore, once you find that your child is nearsighted, you should wear glasses to correct your vision.

Surgery to correct myopia has become a new choice for many patients who want to take off their glasses, but surgery can't cure it. It is worth noting that although the postoperative vision has improved, the complications of myopia may still exist. Corneal refractive surgery has been widely used to correct vision in recent ten years, and the evaluation of the adaptation scope, long-term follow-up and safety of these operations is still in progress. My personal attitude is neither advocating nor opposing.

● Pay attention to oxygen permeability when wearing contact lenses.

After wearing contact lenses, there will be some problems. Such as corneal hypoxia, the cornea used for breathing directly absorbs oxygen from the air. Now, what do you cover it with? Although oxygen can still pass through, it is always less. According to research, after most people wear contact lenses, the oxygen available to the cornea is only one-third of the original. So what should we do? The way for the body to fight against local hypoxia is to increase local blood flow (let blood vessels dilate), or to grow new blood vessels, so that blood can transport more oxygen and nutrients. It's like if we want to increase the capacity of expressway, we should widen them and build new ones. In this way, whether blood vessels dilate or grow new blood vessels, the so-called "red silk" (that is, blood vessels) becomes obvious.

Wearing contact lenses can also cause conjunctival inflammation. Protein's allergy to soft contact lenses, chronic foreign body stimulation caused by contact lenses themselves, liquid medicine for washing glasses, sterilization liquid medicine, bacteria, molds and amoeba attached to contact lenses that are not killed can all cause conjunctival inflammation. Once inflamed, redness, swelling, heat, foreign body sensation, pain and secretion will appear.

● Laser treatment of myopia has a "forbidden zone"

"Take off your glasses in 30 seconds" is always attractive to nearsighted people, but not all nearsighted people can do excimer laser surgery, which has strict requirements on the choice of treatment objects.

Some myopia patients are often accompanied by fundus diseases or other eye diseases, which are not suitable for excimer laser surgery. According to the statistics of tens of thousands of surgical cases, about 10- 15% of myopia patients who come to receive excimer laser treatment are not suitable for this operation. If you reluctantly accept surgery, your vision may be ideal in the early postoperative period, but after 1 2 years, there may be many complications, such as retinal detachment and keratoconus, which will seriously damage your vision health.

For postoperative vision, not everyone can recover to 1.5 vision as advertised, except a few myopia patients with good congenital conditions. According to the records of tens of thousands of operations in recent years, 85% of myopia patients' visual acuity can reach above 0.8 on the first day after operation, above 1.0 in 90% one week after operation and above 1.0 in 98% three months after operation. Experts suggest that myopia patients should choose a hospital with strong ophthalmic strength when choosing laser to treat myopia. Before excimer surgery, it is best to know the hospital equipment, image quality testing instruments and the advanced degree of surgery before choosing. Don't believe advertisements, but be sure to understand the possible risks of surgery. The success rate is not 100%, and the naked eye vision after operation 1.0 does not mean that the imaging is good and the object will be clear. At the same time, a comprehensive and systematic examination was carried out before operation, and appropriate treatment methods were selected. Only in this way can the safety of the operation be fully guaranteed. Of course, the best way to correct your eyesight is to wear glasses.

Excimer laser surgery conditions: age 18-55 years old; Myopia 2000 degrees, astigmatism 800 degrees, hyperopia 800 degrees; The myopia degree has been stable in recent 2 years; The best corrected visual acuity of lens is above 0.5 (the visual acuity of patients with high myopia fundus diseases is above 0.3); After comprehensive professional examination, there were no physical diseases that affected the operation, such as eye inflammation, glaucoma, retinal detachment and diabetes. Those who wear soft contact lenses must stop using them for more than 3 days, and those who wear hard contact lenses must stop using them for more than 2 weeks; Have the desire to receive treatment, without unrealistic expectations.

■ Eye care strategy

● Create an eye protection environment.

It is necessary to create a small environment suitable for eye care, provide telescopic opportunities and relax the ciliary muscles.

In a city like Beijing and Shanghai, the home is close to the TV, the office is close to the computer and the door is close to the building. This environment is not good for eye health.

Attention should be paid to improving the working environment and adjusting working methods. The office should be ventilated and have a certain humidity. Pay attention to proper rest at work, and rest every 1-2 hours 10- 15 minutes (close your eyes or stare into the distance). Pay attention to adjust the height of the monitor and put the keyboard close to the monitor at work, which can relieve eye fatigue and dry eye symptoms.

When watching TV at night, it's best to turn on a light on the back of the TV. 15-30 watts is softer and protects your eyes.

● Choosing eye drops is very knowledgeable.

There are over-the-counter and prescription drugs for eye drops. Generally speaking, even health-care eye drops can't be used for a long time, because there are some preservatives in them, which are not good for the eyes. Therefore, when choosing eye drops, we should pay attention to the instructions and whether they contain preservatives.

Therapeutic eye drops must be used under the guidance of a doctor. With the improvement of people's awareness of health care, most residents may have one or two kinds of eye drops at home to "eliminate fatigue" or "diminish inflammation". As we all know, ophthalmic diseases are ever-changing. If we can't grasp the root of the disease only by naked eye observation, random medication is often harmful to life. For example, "red eye" may be conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal ulcer, subconjunctival hemorrhage, acute iridocyclitis or acute angle-closure glaucoma.

Some patients with itchy eyes or chronic conjunctivitis go to pharmacies to buy medicine because their eyesight is not impaired. The staff of the pharmacy are not ophthalmologists, and they don't fully understand the length of time for patients to take drugs, so they give drugs according to the needs of patients. In this way, a large number of "corticosteroid glaucoma" appeared. Moreover, this type of glaucoma is often not easy to find in time, and it is diagnosed as glaucoma at a later stage. At this point, the damaged vision is irreparable.

I suggest that under the current medical conditions, there is no need to have eye drops at home. If you have eye problems, you should consult an ophthalmologist or make a diagnosis and treatment in time. Even if you have drugs at home or need to use them for a long time, you should not have eye consultation regularly.

I remember an 80-year-old man opened a bottle of tobramycin in the hospital because of "envy" and recovered in three days. Three months later, I began to be jealous again, so I did the same. I had a stroke three days after taking this medicine. At this time, "envy" is not "envy" at that time, but subconjunctival hemorrhage, which is a precursor of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.

Correct eye drops must also be popularized.

I think the correct eye drops method is a knowledge that must be popularized, and the incorrect eye drops method may bring us many problems.

Be sure to wash your hands before you order eye drops, and you'd better lie down. Don't use the first eye drops after prescribing them. You can use the first drop of eye drops to wash away possible pollutants in the bottle mouth. Then open the lower eyelid with your index finger, look up and drop the eye drops into the groove of the lower eyelid. Never drop eye drops directly on dark circles. After the point, gently pull the upper eyelid with your hand, so that the eye drops can be evenly applied to the eye surface. Finally, remember to put a cotton swab on the inner canthus and squeeze for 3-5 minutes.

This is done because the eyes and the nasal cavity are connected, and they are just connected at the corner of the eye. If you don't press the corner of your eyes, the dripping eye drops will soon reach the nasal cavity and throat. Usually one drop of eye drops at a time is enough. When you order potions, you often keep a fixed posture for a long time, which will also cause physical discomfort for a long time.

Eating well can also prevent eye diseases.

There is a folk saying that "you can make up what you eat". Although there is no scientific reason, eyes are organs with high energy consumption and high oxygen consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure a healthy diet with three meals a day, including protein, starch, fat, vitamins and trace elements, in an appropriate proportion.

Liver, egg yolk and carrots contain a lot of vitamin A. For people suffering from eye diseases due to vitamin A deficiency, eating some of these foods will definitely help their eyes. For elderly patients, you can eat more fruits, because fruits contain a lot of vitamins C, D and E, which have certain effects on anti-oxidation and anti-aging. Lycium barbarum has the function of nourishing liver and improving eyesight, and long-term consumption is beneficial to eye health care. There are laboratories in the United States that specialize in the help of plants such as Lycium barbarum and Ginkgo biloba to the eyes.

From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, snake gall has the effect of clearing liver and improving eyesight, but this effect of improving eyesight needs to be viewed from a dialectical point of view. It must be put together with other drugs to play a synergistic role and can only be eaten when necessary.

I don't advocate that people with bad eyes can improve their eyesight by eating snake gall. Bile should be eaten after medicine. It is dangerous to eat fresh bile in some areas in the south, which may lead to diseases.

● Stay away from the hazards of alcohol and tobacco.

According to research, there are more than 750 chemical components in flue gas, including many toxic substances. Through animal experiments and observation of clinical patients, this toxic substance can directly affect the metabolic function of eye tissue, resulting in painless eyes, progressive vision loss, color vision disorder and so on. Long-term smokers, especially those accompanied by excessive drinking or malnutrition, will form toxic amblyopia in tobacco.

Smoking can also lead to an increase in intraocular pressure. Studies have shown that in glaucoma patients, smoking a cigarette can increase intraocular pressure by more than 5mmHg, reaching 37%. In the normal population, only 1 1% of the people who smoked a cigarette increased their intraocular pressure by more than 5mmHg. Therefore, people with a history of glaucoma or family history should try to avoid smoking.

Alcohol can make blood vessels spasm, excitement can promote spasm aggravation and blood pressure increase. Patients with diabetes and hypertension are more likely to rupture blood vessels due to different degrees of arteriosclerosis, leading to retinal hemorrhage. If the bleeding occurs in the posterior pole, the vision will be extremely reduced, and if it occurs in the macula, it will lead to blindness. In addition, long-term excessive drinking, especially frequent heavy drinking, will lead to decreased digestion and absorption capacity, vitamin B deficiency in the body, conjunctivitis, optic neuritis, visual impairment, visual field defect and so on.

Of course, a small amount of drinking will also be good for the eyes, which may have the effect of "promoting blood circulation". Studies have confirmed that drinking alcohol can lead to a temporary decrease in intraocular pressure, especially in glaucoma patients.

● Improper diet leads to eye inflammation.

We found that some irritating food, such as spicy food, may be the cause of "sty" and "acute dacryocystitis" in eyes. Some seafood may be closely related to the occurrence and recurrence of uveitis. Therefore, patients with a history of uveitis, especially those with recurrent uveitis, should pay attention to controlling their eating habits.

25% to 40% of the elderly suffer from chronic conjunctivitis. After drinking, the blood vessels in the eyes are dilated and congested, the bulbar conjunctiva is congested, and the eyes are dry and uncomfortable. Therefore, patients with conjunctivitis should pay attention to drinking less and eating less spicy food.

For the elderly, especially those with high risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
