Qinhuangdao branch of Beijing Institute of Technology was founded in 1984, directly under Beijing Institute of Technology. The school site is located in the seaside of Beidaihe, a scenic tourist resort, and you can reach the coast of Bohai Sea by walking one kilometer to the east and south. Since its establishment more than 20 years ago, the branch school has been growing and advancing under the leadership of the school headquarters in the process of reform and opening up. At present, the campus covers an area of more than 30 mu, with a building area of 13000 square meters. There are more than 80 faculty members, including professor 14, associate professor 22 and lecturer1/person. Since its establishment, it has trained more than 5,000 undergraduate and junior college graduates for the country. The branch school now mainly undertakes preparatory education for ethnic minorities, modern distance education and Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.
