1, Zhengzhou University Academy of Fine Arts was founded on 200 1, which is one of the newly-built departments of Zhengzhou University. Drawing on and integrating the teaching ideas and methods of national key art colleges, we have explored the teaching rules of art majors to meet the needs of the new era, formed a certain school scale, characteristics and advantages, continuously expanded its popularity and influence in disciplines and society, and opened up a strong development prospect.

2. The Academy of Fine Arts consists of five departments, namely, the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting, the Department of Oil Painting, the Department of Sculpture, the Department of Art Design and the Department of Historical Theory, forming a comprehensive fine arts discipline system with the dominant discipline (direction) of "Central Plains Fine Arts" as the main body, and its comprehensive strength is further highlighted. At present, there are two first-level master's programs, namely "Fine Arts" and "Master of Literature", and "Fine Arts" has been selected as the ninth batch of first-level key disciplines in Henan Province. Undergraduate majors include painting, sculpture and visual communication, covering five directions: Chinese painting, oil painting, sculpture, visual communication and animation. College "Central Plains Fine Arts" was selected as the key construction project of Zhengzhou University's dominant and characteristic discipline (direction). On 20 16 and 20 12, four seminars on the discipline construction of "Central Plains Fine Arts" were successfully held; on 20 17, the fourth academic conference of China Graduate Education Alliance was successfully held; on 20 16 and 20 17, the Central Plains Fine Arts was successfully held twice.

It has 9 research and practice centers, including Zhongyuan Base of National University Art Teaching Research Center, Henan Cultural Industry Development Research Base, the first batch of China Art College Students' Cooperative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Zhengzhou University Ceramic Art Research Institute, Zhengzhou University Realistic Painting Research Institute, Zhengzhou University Chinese Painting Research Center, Zhengzhou University Folk Art Research Center, Zhengzhou University Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Base and Zhengzhou University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration Base. 20 17 was selected as the first member of the "National Alliance for Educational Innovation in Art Colleges".
