Inner Mongolia Medical University, located in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a multi-disciplinary medical college focusing on medicine and integrating science, management, engineering, literature and law. Founded in 1956, the school is one of the earliest medical colleges established in minority areas in New China. At that time, it was under the Ministry of Health and was placed under the management of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 1958.
