Guangxi University is located in Nanning, the picturesque capital of Guangxi, south of Bagui, at the junction of the border and the sea, and in the middle of Greentown. It is the oldest and largest comprehensive university in Guangxi and the only national "2 1 1 project" construction school in Guangxi. Colleges and universities in the central and western regions plan to build universities, world-class discipline construction universities and "joint construction of departments and regions" to enhance their comprehensive strength.
The school was founded in 1928 and became the national Guangxi University in 1939. 1950 merged with Nanning Normal University. 195 1 merged with the undergraduate department of Xijiang university. 1952, President Mao Zedong wrote the name of Guangxi University. In the same year, the Agricultural College of Guangxi University was established independently. 1953, Guangxi University was closed during the national faculty adjustment.
65438-0958, Guangxi University resumed reconstruction. 196 1 year, Guangxi Institute of Technology and Guangxi Institute of Science and Technology merged into Guangxi University. 1962, Guangxi Forestry College was merged into Guangxi Agricultural College. 65438-0970, Guangxi University of Labor was merged into Guangxi Agricultural College. 1992, Guangxi Agricultural College was renamed Guangxi Agricultural University. 65438-0997, Guangxi University and Guangxi Agricultural University merged to form a new Guangxi University.
