According to the characteristics of running a school in xidian university, the Institute of Software Engineering has set up five major directions for software engineering masters: Web engineering and information system, software testing and software quality assurance, network and communication software technology, embedded software technology and software engineering and management.

Third, the training mode.
1. The training process is conducted by combining systematic course study with engineering practice. The credit system is implemented in the course, and the total credits are required to be no less than 40 credits, including 32 credits for the course and 8 credits for the required links (including engineering practice, dissertations and participation in at least 10 academic activities).

2. Admission without test
Students who are recommended to universities with graduate schools to study for master's degrees without taking the test will directly take part in the re-examination organized by the Software College of our school, and those who pass the re-examination can be admitted as master's students majoring in software engineering in our school. 3, unified examination and adjustment
In June 2009, 5438+ 10 took part in the national unified postgraduate entrance examination. Undergraduate majors are computer, electronic information and other similar majors (computer, electronics, communication, automation, mathematics, management information system, etc. ). Candidates who apply for graduate schools all over the country and reach the national admission mark can be transferred to xidian university National Model Software Institute to study for a master's degree in software engineering, and directly participate in the re-examination organized by our school's software institute. The training of the above candidates belongs to master's degree (double certificate) education and adopts full-time training mode. When entering the school, the household registration problem shall be handled according to the regulations of the school for recruiting graduate students. Those who meet the school graduation requirements at the end of the study will be awarded a graduate diploma and go through the employment procedures according to the graduate employment procedures. Graduate students who have completed the required credits within the specified time and passed the defense organized by the school are awarded the master's degree in software engineering by academic degree evaluation committee, and the master's degree certificate in engineering is awarded by the the State Council Academic Degrees Committee.

4. National unified examination
Participated in the national unified postgraduate entrance examination on June 5438+ 10, 2009, and applied for postgraduate students in universities with graduate schools in China. Those who meet any of the following two conditions may be exempted from taking the written test and directly take the second interview. Those who pass the second interview can be directly admitted to xidian university National Model Software Institute to study for a master's degree in software engineering.

6. Independent proposition and examination in colleges and universities
Those who take the entrance examination for engineering master's degree organized by the Software Institute (independent proposition, examination, marking and admission by the Software Institute) and whose test scores reach the minimum score specified by the Software Institute in that year can take part in the re-examination organized by the Software Institute, and those who pass the re-examination can be admitted as engineering master's degree students in the field of software engineering in our school.
Examination subjects: mathematics, English, professional foundation (data structure and programming, or microcomputer principle).
Examination time: May 30 ~ 3, 20091(subject to the admission ticket time).
