Suzhou University Conservatory of Music is a newly established college, enjoying the diversified teaching environment of Suzhou University. It is a modern conservatory of music, leading music performance, composition, academic research and education. The aim of the college is to run an international school and strive to be in line with the international music education system. The college takes music major courses as the core, closely combines the academic atmosphere of comprehensive universities, advocates interdisciplinary learning and practice, and aims to cultivate music professionals with comprehensive artistic accomplishment and international competitiveness. At present, the Conservatory of Music has a faculty of first-class performers, composers, theorists and educators, including 7 professors, 6 associate professors, 8 assistant professors 12, 8 lecturers and 8 teaching assistants 1 person. Teachers specializing in piano, orchestral music, percussion, composition, theory and music history have all graduated from or taught in top international universities and conservatories, such as Yale University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Juilliard Conservatory, New England Conservatory of Music, University of Southern California, new york State University, Paris National Conservatory of Music, Cologne Conservatory of Music, Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, etc. 75% of them have a doctorate. Music education has a history of 16 years. At present, there are teachers of piano, vocal music, folk music and music theory. Many teachers have studied at Indiana University, Paris Normal Conservatory of Music, and Karlsruhe National Conservatory of Music in Germany.
