If you leave the university town and take the expressway, you can get to the airport in about 45 minutes. It is safer to leave one and a half to two hours in advance, provided that you can get a taxi (black car is not counted).

Regular taxis in Fuzhou are still safe, especially to the airport in downtown Fuzhou. Don't take a taxi back to the city from the airport. Airport rentals are all controlled by Changle Gang. After getting on the bus, you have been sold to other black cars for various reasons.
