Location of Fujian Province

Fujian Province is located in the southeast of China, and its TV station is called Southeast Satellite TV.

Friendly reminder, Southeast University is not in Fujian, but in Nanjing. The name of this school was not chosen later. It existed during the Republic of China, when Southeast University was as famous as Peking University. )

Fujian province, named after Fuzhou and Jianzhou, was founded in the early Ming Dynasty. The formation of Fujian Province can be traced back to Fujian Road in the Northern Song Dynasty, which governs six states, namely Fu, Jian, Quan, Zhang, Ting and Nanjian, and eight places, namely Shaowu and Xinghua Army. Fujian is also called "Eight Min". In the early Ming Dynasty, these eight places were successively changed to Fuzhou, Jianning, Yanping, Shaowu, Xinghua, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou and Tingzhou.

Friendly reminder: 1885 Before the establishment of Taiwan Province Province, Fujian Province also administered Taiwan Province Island and its affiliated islands.

Scenery of Fuzhou, Fujian Province

Turning over the topographic map of Fujian Province, we will find that the whole province is almost mountainous and continuous mountains, with only a few plains along the river and coast. Mountains and seas have a far-reaching influence on Fujian Province.

The only province in modern southeast without railways.

Because there are mountains everywhere, there have been many dangers from mountains since ancient times, and there is a saying among the people that "Fujian Road is more difficult than Shu Road".

In modern times, railways were introduced into China, but Fujian Province is the only province in the southeast coast of China that has no railway access. Although the Xiamen-Zhangzhou Railway has been built, it is only 45 kilometers long and is not connected with the national railway network. 1930 was abandoned and later demolished.

The first railway that entered Fujian from the national railway network was the yingtan-Xiamen railway built after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The railway leads from Yingtan Station in zhejiang-jiangxi railway and ends in Xiamen. The purpose of the construction is to prepare for the war in the Taiwan Province Strait.

Until the early 1990s, the train left Fujian Province by this railway, and at the other end of the railway, yingtan, Jiangxi Province also developed from a small town to a prefecture-level city.

The cradle of modern navy

Unlike the obstacles of mountains, kelp brings more convenience. Coastal areas are densely populated, with developed fisheries and a long history of navigation. During the Song Dynasty, Quanzhou Port was the largest port in the world.

Quanzhou Liusheng Pagoda was the lighthouse at that time.

In Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Yuegang in Zhangzhou was an important foreign trade port along the coast of China. Corn, sweet potato and other high-yield food crops originated in the United States were introduced from this. The development of fishery shipping gave birth to a unique marine culture. Mazu culture originated in Meizhou Island, Fujian Province, which blessed Fujian people to sail out to sea, do business in Nanyang, recover Taiwan Province Province from Dutch colonists, and help the Qing government unify Taiwan Province Province.

After the Opium War, Fuzhou and Xiamen became trading ports that were forced to open. The modernization of coastal defense has been put on the agenda. At that time, Fuzhou Ship Administration Bureau, the largest shipyard in the Far East, was established in Mawei, Fuzhou, and the first naval school in China, the Ship Administration School, and the first modern navy in China, the Fujian Navy, were also established here.

Fujian is known as the cradle of China's modern navy. The students of Ship Administration School represented by Yan Fu participated in the establishment of Tianjin Naval Academy, forming a prominent Fujian navy in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.

Who answered in Fujian?

Mountains and seas affect Fujian, and rivers connecting Fujian originate from mountains and flow into the sea. In ancient times, water transportation was the main mode of transportation, and all eight provinces in Fujian were by the river.

After entering the 1990s, Fujian's railway construction entered the fast lane. The construction of Heng (Feng) South (Ping) Railway, Mei (Zhou) Kan (City) Railway and Gan (Zhou) Long (Salt) Railway has enabled Fujian to have a number of passages out of the province.

In 2009, the coastal railway passage from Ningbo to Fuzhou was opened to traffic, and the EMU entered Fujian Province. Then, the Yongshen-Shenyang Railway was completed, Xiangpu Railway (Changfu Railway) and Longyanxia (Gate) high-speed railway were opened to traffic, Hefei high-speed railway was completed, and all prefecture-level cities in Fujian Province were connected with high-speed railway.

On the evening of 20 18 65438+ 10 19, Zhonggong completed the large-scale construction of the line transition between the old and new stations in Longyan in less than 9 hours.

At the end of 20 18, the entire line of Nan (Ping)-San (Ming)-Long (Yan) high-speed railway was connected, and the high-speed railway loop in Fujian Province was formed. With the completion of high-speed rail, Qu (Zhou)-Ning (De) railway and other railways, Fujian's external transportation is more convenient. In addition, the coastal high-speed railway with a speed of 350km/h and the Quanzhou-Jiangxi Xingguo railway are under construction, and the dense railway network replaces rivers and connects all parts of Fujian Province.

In addition, the expressway construction in Fujian Province has also made remarkable achievements. Except for a few island counties, high-speed communication between counties has been realized.

From Bamin to nine prefecture-level cities

The influence and connection of mountains and seas, rivers and railways have also changed the administrative divisions of Fujian Province, from Bamin to today's nine prefecture-level cities: Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Longyan, Sanming, Nanping, Putian and Ningde.

Administrative Divisions of Fujian Province (Old Edition)

Of the past eight houses, only three are near the sea. Today, only three of the nine prefecture-level cities are inland: Nanping City, Sanming City and Longyan City, and they are all on the yingtan Railway and its branch lines.

Fuzhou city

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, is located at the mouth of Minjiang River. Minjiang River is the mother river of Fujian Province, and nearly half of Fujian Province belongs to Minjiang River Basin. The Minjiang River divides into many tributaries in different directions in the upper reaches, making it possible for many places in Fujian Province to go down to Fuzhou by boat. Fuzhou deserves to be the provincial capital.

The Minjiang River basin accounts for almost half of the area of Fujian Province.

Fuzhou Shipping Bureau, proposed by Zuo and operated by Shen Baozhen, is located in Mawei District, Fuzhou, also known as mawei shipyard, and produces warships. Pingyuan Ship, which performed well in the Sino-Japanese War and the Yellow Sea War, came from Fuzhou Shipping Bureau and was the only domestic armored ship of Beiyang Navy at that time. After the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the Westernization Movement went bankrupt, and the shipbuilding industry of Fuzhou Shipping Bureau was in trouble, but the legend of shipping administration did not stop there, and it became one of the birthplaces of China aviation industry. The earliest aircraft factory in China was in mawei shipyard, which produced the first seaplane in China.

Plain ships represent the highest level of modern shipbuilding industry in China.

The first seaplane made in China took off in Ma Jiang (Minjiang River).

Xiamen city

Fuzhou and Xiamen are sister cities of Fujian Province. Fuzhou is the provincial capital, Xiamen is not, Xiamen is a sub-provincial city, and Fuzhou, the provincial capital, is not.

Xiamen is located at the mouth of Jiulong River. Unlike Fuzhou, which was built on the estuary basin, the downtown of Xiamen is on Xiamen Island.

The ancient bridge-building technology was underdeveloped, so it was often difficult for such places to become cities, and more often they were used for military purposes. Zheng Chenggong was trained here before recovering Taiwan Province Province.

Topography around Fuzhou

Terrain around Xiamen

The main port of Jiulong River into the sea used to be zhangzhou port. Since modern times, the scale and tonnage of seagoing ships have become larger and larger, and Xiamen Port has become the economic center of southern Fujian. The modern architecture of Gulangyu Island witnessed the rapid development of Xiamen at that time. After the reform and opening up, Xiamen has become one of the five special economic zones.

Xiamen Island Scenery

Compared with the other four special economic zones, Xiamen has the best foundation, with 985 universities. 985 colleges and universities in Shenzhen and Zhuhai are all introduced branches. This is due to Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese, who founded Xiamen University and Jimei School Village in his hometown of Jimei, and set up many new schools. Xiamen University was a famous institution in the Republic of China, and was even called one of the "Five Alma Maters" when the departments were adjusted in 1952.

Today, Xiamen University is known as the most beautiful university in China, and Xiamen is known as the "sea garden".

Xiamen University

The external traffic of Xiamen Island has also undergone earth-shaking changes. From the initial construction of the yingtan-Xiamen railway seawall to the island, there are bridges and tunnels connecting Xiamen Island in the north, west and east directions. Quanzhou by Jinjiang River

For a long time after the founding of the People's Republic of China, this place was the front line of confrontation, not the place of key construction, with less burdens and constraints. After the reform and opening up, the private economy has flourished. Due to the easy access to start-up funds by the sea, the private economy has gradually developed from industries with lower thresholds such as textiles and shoes. Up to now, for example, Jinjiang shoe industry and Shishi textile are all familiar.

Jinjiang is a county-level city managed by Quanzhou with a long history. In Quanzhou, in addition to "Jinjiang", there are also central plains names such as Luoyang River. Luoyang Bridge, located at the mouth of Luoyang River, is as famous as Zhao Zhouqiao, and is one of the four famous bridges in ancient times. Luoyang Bridge was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, with a total length of 834 meters, but it is not the longest ancient bridge in Quanzhou.
