Brief introduction of Guizhou University:
Guizhou University, referred to as "Da Gui", is located in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou. It is the national "double first-class" world-class discipline construction university, the "21project" key construction university, the "Ministry-provincial cooperation" between the Ministry of Education and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, the scholarship receiving institution of China Government for overseas students in China, the scholarship institution of Confucius Institute and the "201plan" of the Ministry of Education. The pilot unit of the "Three-Round Education" comprehensive reform of the Ministry of Education, a key comprehensive university in Guizhou Province, a member of the Midwest University Alliance, a national college student cultural quality education base, a demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, a foreign aid base of the Ministry of Education, and an international scientific and technological cooperation base of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It has been selected into the national "11/plan", the education and training plan for outstanding legal talents, the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, and the "comprehensive strength improvement project for central and western universities" of the Ministry of Education, and has become one of the 14 high-level universities that the Ministry of Education has focused on building in the western region, with counterpart support from Zhejiang University.
Guizhou University was founded in 1902, and was named Guizhou University in 1950 and 10 after the period of Guizhou University Hall, provincial Guizhou University, national Guizhou College of Agriculture and Industry and national Guizhou University. 195 1 year1kloc-0/month, President Mao Zedong wrote the name of Guizhou University in his own handwriting. 1August 1997, merged with Guizhou Agricultural College and other institutions. The school was founded in 194 1, formerly known as "National Guiyang Teachers College"; 1950, renamed "Guiyang Normal University"; 1956 was officially handed over to the people's government of Guizhou province by the Ministry of Education of China. 1958, the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to establish a new "Guizhou University" in the form of a joint school in Guiyang Normal University. 1959, Guizhou University left our school; 1985 was renamed as "Guizhou Normal University"; 1996 was identified as a provincial key university by Guizhou provincial people's government; In 2004, the former Guizhou Vocational and Technical College merged; In 2006, it was once again identified as a provincial key university by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government.
