Tama Art University (English name: Tama Art University, Japanese pen name: たまびじゅつだぃがく) was founded at 1935 in Ueno, Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. This school was split from Imperial Art School. The name of the school is Tama Imperial Art School. The school takes "free will" as the educational concept, practices the creative research of art design, and constantly explores the proper values and methods of art education. The main campuses are located in Bagong and Ueno Mau, and it is now the largest fine arts university in Japan. One of the five major organizations in Tokyo (Tama University of Fine Arts, Musashino University of Fine Arts, Tokyo Shaping University, Women's University of Fine Arts, and Art Department of Japanese University).
