Sichuan University Political Economy Postgraduate Entrance Examination Experience Sharing?
Political science major of Sichuan University, major direction: political science (international politics) is 380+ in the initial test, and the initial test and retest are among the best.

Why should I go to graduate school?

I am 2 1 1 majoring in engineering in a university, and I have worked for three years after graduation. The reason why I want to take the postgraduate entrance examination is, firstly, because I don't love my undergraduate major too much, and I prefer political science, secondly, because I want to further improve myself, and finally, I want to change careers. Whether you are a World War I or World War II, a candidate of this major or an interdisciplinary student, I hope my experience sharing can give you some help now.

Choose appropriate majors and institutions.

When choosing an institution, the main factors are: the expectation of postgraduate entrance examination, personal strength, the region where the school is located and the professional level of the school.

First of all, when preparing for the exam, we must first think clearly whether it is better to study or go to a good school. If it is the former, it is indeed more choice than effort. Instead of choosing a prestigious school and being eliminated from the adjustment, it is better to choose a school with less strength as the target of postgraduate entrance examination (the surge in the number of postgraduate entrance examinations in the past two years has led to a scuffle in adjustment, and the "disappearance" of 985 and 2 1 1 has basically become a thing of the past. As far as I know, including my alma mater, most good 2 1 1 do not accept off-campus transfers. If it is the latter, you can only study hard to prepare for the exam. After all, efforts will not be betrayed. If you work hard, you will make progress. Holding one's destiny firmly in one's own hands is better than giving it to anyone's guess. Personally, I didn't consider what was worse than my undergraduate school when I set the target college for postgraduate entrance examination. In other words, I knew from the beginning that I would take the 985 exam.

Secondly, we should fully measure our personal strength, check for leaks and fill vacancies, and make more efforts when preparing for the exam. This can not only allocate time reasonably, but also improve your grades to the maximum extent.

Thirdly, when choosing a school, location is also very important, not only because different cities will give you different learning resources, but also because this is where you will stay in the next few years, so try to choose your favorite area. When I chose Sichuan University, I considered that Chengdu, as one of the cores of the emerging Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area, has a relatively high concentration of resources in the southwest and even the whole central and western regions. This is especially true for our students of political science (international politics) or international relations. Facing the south gate of the motherland, Sichuan University is rich in scientific research resources. And I like Chengdu very much.

Finally, as far as political science is concerned, Sichuan University, as an old 985, has a doctorate in political science, and has attached great importance to the discipline construction and development of political science in recent years. It is a cost-effective school.

As the motto of Sichuan University says, "All rivers run into the sea" does not discriminate against undergraduate-born schools and interdisciplinary students. Keep a volunteer, don't deliberately pressure points, change the papers fairly and fairly, and don't accept off-campus transfers;

The second interview time is early, which is friendly to students who fail to enroll, leaving enough adjustment time;

The campus environment is beautiful, and students have a good evaluation of teachers.

Prepare suggestions

politics

The key to high political scores lies in multiple-choice questions! Multiple-choice questions and big questions each account for 50 points, and the national average score of big questions is relatively stable every year, neither too high nor too low. Multiple choice questions include a single choice question 16 and two multiple choice questions 17. How many points you can get is clear, depending on how many questions you answered correctly. Therefore, if you want to get high marks in politics, you must work harder on multiple-choice questions.

I began to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination in May, and began to study politics after preparing for the exam, instead of "not too early, August, September or even 10" as many experience posts say. You know, the sooner you prepare everything, the better, because what you have to do later is not only to recite political topics, but even political topics are not the focus, but to recite professional courses in a limited time! If you put English and political studies in the later period, it will add fuel to the busy late preparation and add chaos to yourself.

My situation: I have been paying close attention to the "core exam cases" in Xu Tao.

Listen to his course with excellent question bank.

I also bought Xiao Xiurong's Exquisite Conciseness and 1000 Questions, but it didn't work. I looked through it, but I didn't think it was suitable for me, and it didn't look as refreshing as the Core Examination Case.

The "excellent question bank" is not the mainstream in the market, but personally, it covers many knowledge points, and the questions are difficult to combine, and some strange questions will not be deliberately created for the difficulty.

Primary stage (about May-August): After listening to Xu Tao's intensive courses and sorting out the excellent question bank, you can write the answers in your notebook instead of writing them directly in the problem set, so that you can brush them twice and leave records. When you brush it twice, you can find the knowledge points that are always wrong and see your progress by comparing your own brushing situation. (Be sure to answer the questions well) From August to September, I watched Xu Tao's brushing class. (PS: You can buy a recitation manual of Xu Tao or Sister Leg last year after watching the intensive class, and start reciting a little every day, especially those knowledge points that are easily confused).

Mid-term (about September-165438+1October): I took a break after watching the problem-solving class, and didn't continue to do the problem (I can do some other teachers' problems according to my own situation or watch the intensive class again at a double speed), but I just took some time to review the knowledge points every day. After a while, I brushed the "excellent question bank" twice. A senior recommended my leg sister's skill class, but I didn't watch it. Let's give you a reference.

It should be noted that after entering the summer vacation, especially after August, the absolute focus is on professional courses. All the courses mentioned here, including brush courses and skills courses, are best not to be placed at the most energetic time every day. Such precious time is reserved for specialized courses. Open classes can be listened to as relaxation when the brain is tired.

Later period (11-65438+February): Take some time to recite the knowledge points of multiple-choice questions every day, and use it in combination with the sprint recitation manual of Leg Sister and Xu Tao's sprint recitation notes.

Xiao four shaw brushed all the multiple-choice questions and reviewed all the wrong questions in the past.

I chose to write most of the questions by myself, without any teacher's bet. The reasons are as follows: ① After reading several teachers' bets, I feel that betting is not very good. My major is political science, and I am confident that I can write it without reciting the topic. (3) The big question is to step on the point and give points. The most important thing is to write down those principles. Instead of reciting long paragraphs of questions, it is better to spend more time reciting some principles, and the rest of the language can be organized by itself. Don't recite the big questions, depending on your personal situation. You can increase your confidence when you carry them into the examination room. If you don't want to recite so many questions, you can buy more teachers' questions and find the key points with the highest coincidence rate.

English

English is the subject I study the least.

My level: there are more than 460 naked tests in CET-4 and more than 480 naked tests in CET-6. Writing and Chinese-English translation are shortcomings, and there is nothing wrong with grammar (of course, nothing wrong here only refers to reading general articles, not particularly complicated articles). I haven't touched English for three years, and my words are a little rusty. So my preparation is mainly divided into three parts: words, reading and composition, especially the first two.

Words are learned by memorizing many words over and over again. When reading, you can listen to the teacher's class, but pay attention to the skills that the teacher says are based on the condition that there are no big problems with words and grammar. Don't be superstitious about skills. It can help break through the bottleneck, but first you can get a certain level. Composition can also listen to the teacher's class and collect materials. I memorized it only after mid-June+February, 5438. I prepared my own template and memorized some materials and corpus.

If the English foundation is not good, there are still great problems in grammar, so you can look at long and difficult sentences separately. For a junior with a certain English background, it is enough to watch the teacher's explanation in reading class.

Professional courses

Since the entrance examination of 20021,Guoguan College of Sichuan University has unified the subjects of political science, state relations and diplomacy into principles of political science (672) and synthesis of political science (982), and the reference book is Wang Puqu's Basis of Political Science, 4th edition.

And the second edition of Sun Guanhong's Introduction to Political Science.

First of all, it must be clear that the teaching materials for professional courses must be prepared as soon as possible, whether it is to organize them yourself or buy seniors and sisters, for the same reason as before, in order to save time and trouble in the later period. Secondly, the information is not much but fine, and I can't finish reciting too much preparation. It's been a long time. I don't remember any information. It may block my heart if I put it there. Finally, be sure to know your own information.

Overall review plan:

Basics (April-June): The best way to know what your specialized courses are about and what the syllabus is is to recite the table of contents. I may not understand it the first time, but I may not remember anything when I read it. Never mind, read it twice. Especially cross-disciplinary candidates, they are really not used to the professional terms and teaching materials in new fields at first.

Consolidation period (July-August): You need to study the real questions after you are familiar with the textbooks. The real questions over the years can help to find the key points of the exam, and even the phenomenon of repeated propositions often appears. Be sure to do the real questions! This stage combines the real questions to prepare the materials to be memorized in the sprint stage.

Sprint (9- 165438+ 10): Some people may say that it is too early to start endorsement in September, but I don't think so. First of all, the school's enrollment catalogue has been updated in September, and there is no worries about changing books. Secondly, as a liberal arts, we have a lot to recite. Finally, you can leave some time to recite political topics by reciting professional courses early. Before endorsing, you must sort out what you want to recite in combination with the real questions; When endorsing, don't use the excuse that I have to understand before reciting. After all, only a few people can fully understand it. They are not sure whether they are chosen by nature, and they will naturally understand in the process of reciting repeatedly.

About the topic (65438+February): you can predict the direction of the proposition by yourself in combination with the major political events of the year; Or contact seniors and ask them to help predict and buy information.

Suggestions for review at each stage:

Foundation (April-June): Public courses are the main courses, and the time ratio between public courses and professional courses can be 3:2. Especially in English, we should recite words, practice reading and lay a good political foundation. The more fully prepared in the early stage of an open class, the more relieved the burden will be in the later stage. The specialized courses in this period were mainly reading and arranging outlines.

Consolidation period (July-August): After entering the summer vacation, the focus will shift from public courses to professional courses. At this time, the time ratio of public courses to professional courses is 2:3, even reaching 1:2 (depending on the preparation of public courses in the early stage).

Sprint (9-165438+1October): Especially after the middle and late June of 65438+1October, the review of public courses should make the best use of fragmented time or when professional courses are tired. Reviewing public courses at this time is just to keep in touch, so as not to be unfamiliar with postgraduate English and politics. In this period, the time ratio between public courses and professional courses is 1:4 or even 1:5.

After entering 65438+February, it is mainly to check for leaks and fill gaps. English has to recite compositions, politics has to recite big questions, and professional classes can't stop to review, but it's certainly not as hard as it was at the beginning. Therefore, although the focus of review at this time is still on professional courses, the time schedule is not so rigid, depending on personal circumstances.

Other suggestions

1. Postgraduate entrance examination is not only an examination of knowledge level, but also a competition of information. It's best to get in touch with seniors (you can check it in the Post Bar and Zhihu), so that they can know a lot of first-hand information and share their experience in postgraduate entrance examination. Pay more attention to the postgraduate entrance examination information released by schools and colleges in official website.

2. Postgraduate entrance examination is also an examination mentality. Everyone will experience several collapses or slacks during the postgraduate entrance examination. In these situations, chat with family and friends, relieve negative energy, or watch a movie. Give yourself more positive psychological hints.

3. Learn to endure loneliness. Postgraduate entrance examination is not a college entrance examination. There are not so many classmates and friends around. The colleges and majors you may apply for are different. No one you know or even the whole school goes to the same university major as you, and your parents may not understand your major. For most people, this can only be a lonely road.

4. Keep a good mood. Personally, I think that a good mood can make my study more effective.

encouraging words

I want to warn the 23-year-old postgraduate students that it is really difficult to take the postgraduate entrance examination, but the most difficult thing is always to stabilize the mentality. Don't exaggerate the difficulties. In the process of postgraduate entrance examination, we will encounter many difficulties, large and small. When we are nervous, it is easy to exaggerate difficulties, which will defeat ourselves, destroy ourselves, cry and even affect our health. In fact, as one of the most important postgraduate subjects, you were very brave when you decided to enter the postgraduate entrance examination of economics. Believe in yourself and don't give up. As long as you set a target score, work hard and stick to the end, your final score will never be too far from the target score!
