The College of Special Education of Changchun University was established in 1987, which recruits blind, deaf and disabled students for the whole country. Existing art design (undergraduate), acupuncture and massage (undergraduate), accounting (undergraduate), art (specialist) and music performance (specialist). Blind and deaf candidates can register in the middle and late March of each year. You can register through the post office or directly at the school, and take the exam in Changchun at the end of May or early June (see the enrollment brochure for the specific registration method and examination time). Candidates with physical disabilities participate in the unified enrollment and examination of colleges and universities nationwide in accordance with the enrollment brochures published by the enrollment departments of all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
The School of Deaf Engineering of Tianjin University of Technology was established in 1997, and it enrolls students nationwide. The enrollment targets are deaf-mute students or deaf-mute young people who have graduated from high school or equivalent education. They are no more than 24 years old and can take care of themselves. Now we offer the specialties of mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment, computer application, fashion design and engineering, with a duration of three years. Every year, the college entrusts disabled persons' federations and schools for the deaf in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government to organize registration. Deaf-mute students must hold a disability certificate issued by the Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation when applying for the exam. Candidates fill in the registration form and send it to Tianjin Vocational and Technical College for the Deaf. The college will inform the candidates to take the entrance examination in Tianjin.
The College of Special Education of Beijing Union University was established in 2000. The Department of Higher Vocational Education and the Department of Public Administration recruit disabled students for the whole country. The department of higher vocational education consists of art design (undergraduate), decorative advertising design (specialist), massage (specialist), office automation (specialist) and landscape architecture (specialist). Candidates take the entrance examination proposed by the college after registration.
Established in 1985, the Second Department of Health Care of Shandong Binzhou Medical College is the first undergraduate major in China to recruit five-year students with physical disabilities. Candidates with physical disabilities are required to take the national unified college entrance examination.
In addition, some colleges and universities have opened departments or classes for the disabled in ordinary colleges and universities, such as Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Jiangsu Jinling Vocational College and Hubei Jingmen University.
