On April 19, 2020, Nanguang College of Communication University of China issued the Announcement of Nanjing Communication College, announcing that the name of Nanjing Communication College was launched from now on, and all rights and obligations of the former Nanguang College of Communication University of China were assumed by Nanjing Communication College. According to the signed agreement, China Communication University will continue to support the development of Nanjing Communication University in scientific research, teaching and teachers.

On September 6, 2004, the opening ceremony of Nanguang College of Communication University of China was held. With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Nanguang College of Communication University of China, sponsored by Communication University of China, was officially declared as a non-profit private institution of higher learning.
