Xijing Digestive Disease Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University was established on September 24th, 2008 on the basis of the original Department of Gastroenterology of Xijing Hospital. Xijing Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University was formerly a central hospital established by 1939 in Yan 'an. 1954 the former fourth and fifth military medical universities were merged, and their affiliated hospitals were merged into the first affiliated hospital of the fourth military medical university. 1984 was called "Xijing Hospital" and transferred to the Air Force in 20 17.
