Cornell University, referred to as Cornell for short, is a world-class private research university located in Ithaca, new york, USA (the other two branches are located in new york City and Qatar Education City respectively), and is a member of the famous Ivy League. Cornell University was founded by ezra cornell and andrew dickson white in 1865. It is the only one of the eight Ivy League universities established after the American War of Independence.

Cornell University is based on the fact that everyone has an equal right to receive education. It is the first co-educational university in the Ivy League to implement gender equality.
