At 8: 30 am on May 13, the Science and Technology Week and Health Knowledge Lecture jointly organized by Fushun Association for Science and Technology and Shuncheng Association for Science and Technology was held in the conference room on the second floor of Shuncheng District Government. Zhang Guoshu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Tang Qinghua, Vice Chairman, Xiao Peng, Minister of Science Popularization, Zou Yulong, Deputy Secretary of Shuncheng District Committee, Meng Xiangzhi, Chairman of the County Association for Science and Technology, and representatives of officials, towns, streets, communities and residents of Shuncheng District attended the event.

Two experts were specially invited for this lecture. One is Han Rui, vice president, chief physician, professor, master tutor and chairman of Fushun Diabetes Association of Fushun Central Hospital. Professor Han Rui gave a detailed explanation on the etiology, prevention, treatment and diet of diabetes. The other is Professor Dong Wei, doctoral supervisor of the First Clinical College affiliated to China Medical University and vice chairman of the Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-based Medicine Branch of Liaoning Branch of Chinese Medical Association, who gave a simple, interesting and vivid explanation on the occurrence and prevention of tumor diseases and the adjustment of mentality. The lectures by the two experts were warmly welcomed by all the participants.

This activity set off the climax of "Science and Technology Activity Week" in our district, and made positive contributions to advocating a healthy diet and lifestyle, creating a good social atmosphere of "stressing, loving, learning and using science" and improving the scientific quality of residents.
