Zhejiang University, as the official cooperation unit of the Italian Ministry of Education, is also the selection base of high-quality students in Zhejiang Province authorized by the Cultural Office of the Italian Embassy, an institution of higher learning for Italian language teaching, and the designated test center for CILS and CELI. In order to meet the social needs, serve the national talent development strategy, and give full play to the advantages of minority language teaching, course center International, School of Foreign Language Culture and International Exchange, Zhejiang University, opened an Italian preparatory course in 2007.
Relying on many years' experience, the School of Foreign Languages of Zhejiang University has enrolled hundreds of students for studying in course center Preparatory Program 14, which has been the largest number of Italian undergraduate programs in Shanghai (Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui) in recent years.

Zhejiang University is an institution of higher learning with a long history and outstanding reputation, located in Hangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city and a scenic tourist attraction in China. Qiushi College, the predecessor of Zhejiang University, was founded in 1897. It is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by the people of China.
In the course of running a school for more than 20 years, Zhejiang University has always adhered to the fine tradition of "seeking truth and innovating" as its motto, taking the world as its own responsibility and relying on truth, and gradually formed a group of Zhejiang University people who are "diligent, Xiu De, discerning and incorruptible", sharing the same values and "eclectic, enlightening the truth and cultivating our country".
The Institute of Foreign Language Culture and International Exchange has a long history. Its predecessor was the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature of Zhejiang University College of Arts and Sciences, which was established in 1928. The college has the right to award doctoral degrees and master's degrees in foreign languages and literature. It has a master's degree in English translation and seven undergraduate majors in English, German, Japanese, Russian, French, Spanish and translation. There are post-doctoral mobile stations for foreign languages and literature.
