Different from the bottleneck of general English test, social English test has developed vigorously in recent years. The so-called social English test refers to the test based on the analysis of the English needs of employers and serving the specific social needs. For example, IELTS and TOEFL are designed according to the English level required by North American universities, while TOEIC is designed according to the workplace English needs of multinational companies. In addition, there are Cambridge Business English (BEC) jointly organized by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education and the Examination Committee of the University of Cambridge, the National Foreign Language Translation Certificate (NAETI) jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the Translation Qualification Examination (CATTI) of the Ministry of Personnel. They can participate flexibly according to their individual needs, have pertinence in the design of examination content and difficulty, and have wide social recognition. As an ordinary English test, CET-4 and CET-6 mainly test students' ability to master the language of syllabus. Although they also seek innovation and change, compared with the different talent needs in society, a national paper can meet the "teaching evaluation", but it can't examine the students' ability characteristics, and the recognition is naturally slightly weak.
