Introduction of Yunnan University:

Yunnan University (YNU) is located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. It is a national key university mainly established by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan Province. It is a national "double-first-class" construction university, the 2 1 1 project, the basic capacity building project of one university in the province and universities in the central and western regions, and a national first-class university supported by Yunnan Province.

Yunnan University, founded in 1922, is a private Donglu University. 1930, changed to provincial Donglu University. 1934 was renamed Yunnan University. 1938 was changed to National Yunnan University, which is one of the earliest comprehensive universities established in the western frontier of China. 1946, Encyclopedia Britannica listed Yunnan University as one of the most influential universities in the world in 15.

1950 was named Yunnan University. From 65438 to 0958, Yunnan University was placed under the management of Yunnan Province by the Central Ministry of Higher Education. 65438-0978 Yunnan University was identified by the State Council as one of the 88 national key universities. 1996 was included in the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. 1999, Yunnan University of Political Science and Law merged into Yunnan University.
