Tsinghua School, the predecessor of the school, was founded in 19 1 1. The name of "Tsinghua" originated from the place name of the school site "Tsinghua Campus", which was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the government in the late Qing Dynasty. The funds for its establishment came from 1908, part of boxer indemnity returned by the United States. 19 12 was renamed Tsinghua school.
