Tongji University has a long history and an outstanding reputation. It is one of the earliest national universities in China and a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established with Shanghai. From 65438 to 0907, German doctor Porun erich founded the German Medical College in Shanghai, which was the predecessor of Tongji University and the beginning of Tongji medical specialty.
