Shanghai Distance Education Group was born in 2000. It was established on the basis of Shanghai TV University, Shanghai Education TV Station, Shanghai Audio-visual Education Museum and Shanghai TV Technical Secondary School. It is a new education group with distance education as the main body and directly under the leadership of Shanghai Education Commission. The main mission of Shanghai Distance Education Group is to participate in the construction of learning society and lifelong education system in Shanghai, and strive to promote the popularization of lifelong education, higher education, informatization of basic education, popularization of continuing education and socialization of quality education in Shanghai.
