Sports specialty students, also known as the enrollment of high-level athletes, refer to the students who have sports specialties and meet the annual enrollment requirements of colleges and universities from the students who take the unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities nationwide according to the needs of the construction of high-level sports teams in schools approved by the Ministry of Education.
According to the needs of the construction of high-level sports teams in schools, the enrollment schools form expert review committees, formulate testing standards and selection methods, and conduct special sports tests for candidates who meet the conditions of high-level sports teams in schools. The provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) that organize unified sports special tests shall not be lower than the unified test standards formulated by the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). Examination items, time, place, number selection, selection procedures, admission methods and other contents must be announced to the public through the enrollment brochure. Candidates must provide the original certificate of their athletes' performance when registering, and the enrollment school should carefully check it and keep a copy of the certificate for future reference. The provincial college admissions office where the school is located shall supervise the testing work of relevant enrollment schools in the region.
