Measures for the Administration of Undergraduates' Changing Major in Southwest University
Measures for the Administration of Undergraduate Students' Changing Majors in Southwest University Article 1 In order to standardize the work of undergraduate students' changing majors and improve the quality and efficiency of students' changing majors, these measures are formulated in accordance with the Measures for the Administration of Undergraduate Education Students in Colleges and Universities and the relevant provisions of Southwest University.

Article 2 Changing majors refers to the act of changing from one major to another during undergraduate study.

Article 3 Students who want to change their major must meet the following conditions:

(a) has been registered as a student in our school;

(two) students who have completed their studies or completed more than half of the credit requirements in accordance with the regulations of the school;

(three) with the consent of the leading group of the college or school, and with the consent of the new professional receiving unit;

(four) the comprehensive academic performance has reached the level of students in the same batch and at the same level.

Article 4 Application procedures for students to change majors:

(1) Students have studied in their current major for one academic year before applying for a major.

(2) Students have justified reasons, and with the consent of their college, fill out the Application Form for Undergraduate Admission of Southwest University and submit it to the Student Affairs Office of the college.

(3) The College Student Affairs Office is responsible for reviewing the application materials and conducting preliminary examination on qualified students. Do not meet the requirements, will be informed in writing and give relevant guidance.

(4) For students who have passed the preliminary examination, the College Student Affairs Office will submit the application materials to the professional work leading group for final examination. The examination and approval results are issued by the leading group for professional transfer.

(5) After receiving the notice of approval for changing majors, students should attend the registration formalities for changing majors at the time and place specified by the school.

(6) The receiving unit of the new major registers the student status information of the students transferred to the new major, and issues the admission notice of the students transferred to the original professional college, before the students can formally transfer to the new major.

Article 5 Matters related to students changing majors:

(a) students who change their major must abide by the training plan, teaching plan and teaching management regulations of the new major.

(2) Students who change majors must attend and complete corresponding courses and exams according to the training requirements of new majors.

(3) After transferring to a new major, it is up to the new major to decide whether to recognize the scores of the courses already completed, and the recognized course credits are included in the degree and graduation credits.

(4) During the study of the new major, manage, award and change the student status according to the requirements of the new major.

Article 6 The leading group for changing majors is responsible for reviewing students' applications for changing majors to ensure that the process of changing majors is fair, just and open. In the process of examination, we should pay attention to students' comprehensive quality, academic performance, family background and other factors to ensure high-quality transfer to major.

Article 7 The time for students to change majors shall not exceed one semester. Beyond the time limit, the school will cancel his qualification to transfer to a major and continue to study according to the original major.

Article 8 The school will give corresponding measures to students who change their majors without authorization or in violation of regulations.

Article 9 The right to interpret these Measures belongs to Southwest University and shall come into force as of the date of promulgation.
