Lack of mutual understanding
Twenty-six China university students participated in the discussion, who came from famous universities such as Wuhan University, Peking University and Central University of Finance and Economics. They are all winners of last year's Sasakawa Cup Japanese Knowledge Competition and Composition Competition. Twenty-five Japanese college students come from famous Japanese universities such as Tokyo University, Rikkyo University and Tokyo University of the Arts.
Both Chinese and Japanese students mentioned that at present, the nationals of the two countries don't know each other well enough, and the information learned only by news reports is not comprehensive, which is easy to form prejudice, which is probably one of the reasons why the feelings of the two countries are not good enough. They called on more people to travel to the other country and gain objective knowledge through personal observation.
Wu, a senior majoring in Japanese at Jilin University, came to Japan for the first time. Referring to his first impression of Japan, he said that he always thought that Tokyo, Japan, was an international metropolis with four tall buildings. However, when he came here, he found shrines, temples and some ancient buildings everywhere, which preserved many elements of Japanese traditional culture, which surprised him. Haidi Izoda from Central University of Japan expressed the same feeling. He said that he went to China for the first time on June 5438+ 10 last year, and went to Beijing, Shanghai and Xi 'an. He found that the city of China is very modern, and many places are different from his imagination, so he became interested in China. After seeing the recruitment information of this seminar, he signed up without hesitation, hoping to have further exchanges with young people in China.
Achieve "small goals"
In order to improve Sino-Japanese relations, Chinese and Japanese college students put forward specific "small goals" for fifteen years. They hope that Japan will strive to achieve the following goals: holding the China knowledge contest in Japan; Japanese TV, websites and magazines introduce some interesting places in China. Establish an idol group composed of members from China and Japan. I hope China will try to do the following: introduce more popular culture of China, including music, dance and fashion trends, to Japanese young people; Improve the sanitary conditions of domestic public tourism facilities. There are also some bold proposals, including promoting the young people of the two countries to form an international marriage, jointly developing space technology between China and Japan, and jointly marching into space.
Some students suggested that improving relations between the two countries does not have to wait until the future. Now they can introduce each other's countries to friends and relatives through social tools such as WeChat and LINE, and do their part to promote mutual understanding.
Xia Jing, an associate professor in the Japanese Department of Wuhan University, said that the suggestions made by college students are very imaginative, and some suggestions may be too advanced now. However, just like Japan sent Tang envoys to China more than 1000 years ago, it is impossible to imagine that the people of the two countries can fly between China and Japan every day, and the dream now is not impossible. Takeshou Omo, chairman of the Japanese consortium, said that young people who come to exchange shoulder the future of their respective countries, and their era will be five years later, 10 years later. I sincerely hope that China-Japan relations will get better and better with the efforts of young people.
Established in 1924, Japan Science Association, which hosted this seminar, is a non-profit organization that rewards scientific research, conducts international academic exchanges and trains talents in Japan. The main exchange projects between Japan Science Association and China include donating books to universities and research institutions in China for free, holding "Sasakawa Cup National College Students' Japanese Knowledge Competition" in China universities, and holding "Sasakawa Cup Perception of Japan" prize-winning essay contest in cooperation with China Youth Newspaper and People's China Magazine.
