South-Central University for Nationalities is a university directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is jointly established by People's Republic of China (PRC) State Ethnic Affairs Commission, Ministry of Education, China Academy of Sciences, Hubei Provincial People's Government and Wuhan Municipal People's Government.
