The School of Mechanical Engineering of Qiqihar University has been renamed as the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, which is one of the earliest colleges established in Qiqihar University. After decades of efforts and academic accumulation, we have achieved fruitful results in discipline construction, personnel training, scientific research and social services. It has become a college with strong faculty, complete teaching facilities and equipment, and fully equipped with undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training conditions. The college has two undergraduate majors: mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, process equipment and control engineering, and four teaching units: department of mechanical engineering, process equipment and control engineering department, engineering training center and experiment center. The college has a team of teachers with reasonable academic structure, age structure, professional title structure, knowledge and subject structure, good ideological quality and profound academic attainments. There are 65 faculty members, including 5 professors and 20 associate professors. There are 6 teachers with doctoral degrees and more than 20 teachers with master's degrees. The college has more than 1000 students. The college has experimental training places such as mechanical design, manufacturing and automation laboratory, process equipment and control engineering laboratory, mechanical basic experiment, CAD laboratory and engineering training center. For decades, it has made important contributions to the cultivation of mechanical engineering and technical personnel and played an important role in teaching and scientific research. To undertake the teaching tasks of mechanical basic experiment, professional experiment and metalworking practice for all students. The experimental rate reaches 100%, and it has advanced experimental equipment such as production control system, machining center, three-coordinate measuring instrument, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, CNC wire cutting machine, EDM machine, 3D CNC engraving machine, ultrasonic thickness gauge, ultrasonic flaw detector, magnetic flaw detector, hydraulic cyclone experimental device, CNC torsion testing machine, universal testing machine, engineering scanner and engineering plotter, with a total equipment value of 80.

The college attaches great importance to teaching research and teaching reform. In recent years, he has won more than 10 provincial outstanding teaching achievement awards in teaching and scientific research, including 1 provincial outstanding teaching achievement awards and 3 provincial outstanding teaching achievement awards. Published more than 20 teaching materials. Scientific research has also achieved gratifying results, forming the following stable research directions: (1) coupling dynamics of multi-energy domain integrated systems; (2) Digital design and manufacturing and its quality assurance technology; (3) Intelligent image recognition of wear particle morphological characteristics; (4) The application of modern design theory in the research of material properties and technology. Among them, the research on coupling dynamics modeling method of multi-energy domain integrated system is in a leading position in China.

In recent years, provincial and municipal scientific research projects have been completed 10, and many horizontal projects have been completed. Among them, 1 won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the provincial education department, and 4 won the municipal scientific research achievement award and academic achievement award; Published 2 academic monographs, of which 1 won the third prize of the 10th National Excellent Science and Technology Book. More than 300 academic papers have been published in important academic journals in China, and more than 40 papers have been included in SCI, EI and ISTP, and 7 invention patents have been obtained.

These activities have achieved fruitful results and greatly improved students' interest in learning. In 2004, the "paper-tube beet transplanter" designed by Wei in our college won the third prize in the eighth "Challenge Cup" national extracurricular academic research competition for college students; In 2005, Chen Ming and other students from our college participated in the 4th robocon for the first time on behalf of our school, won the first place in the group in the preliminaries, became the first team to enter the top 32 in China, and won the title of "the model of the 4th CCTV robocon extracurricular scientific and educational activities" in the 2004-2005 academic year.
