Vice President Zhang Shulin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum. She extended a warm welcome to all the guests from home and abroad and expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the forum. She said that the University of Science and Technology of China was one of the first universities in China to implement the "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and it was also the only university to participate in the national knowledge innovation project. Environmental protection is an important issue in China's economic and social development. The convening of this forum is of great significance for promoting the cultivation of advanced applied talents in the fields of environmental policy, environmental management and environmental protection technology.
Yin Fucai, deputy director of Anhui Provincial Environmental Protection Department, delivered a speech on behalf of the Provincial Environmental Protection Department. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the University of Science and Technology of China for its great preparations for the forum. He introduced the present situation and tasks of environmental protection in Anhui Province. He hopes that through this forum, international exchanges and cooperation will be further strengthened, the ties between the government and universities will be strengthened, the cultivation of applied talents will be strengthened, and a series of practical problems such as water pollution, urban ecology, excessive discharge and administrative law enforcement will be studied and solved.
