Coupled with the rapid development of Chengdu in recent years, the gap between first-and second-tier cities has gradually widened. A few years ago, West University of Science and Technology was able to compare with Chengdu University of Technology, but now it really can't be compared, and it has been dumped a lot. Secondly, on the issue of employment and career choice, large-scale job fairs are generally held in Chengdu. If you want to get offers from big companies, you have to go back and forth between the two cities non-stop. According to my observation, firstly, many students of West University of Science and Technology will not choose Mianyang for employment, and secondly, the job fair of the school will not attract good companies to join (the school organizes its own job fair every year), so to sum up, Mianyang is not a good place to attract talents.

In the past, the old headmaster had a wide network of contacts and developed rapidly with the strong support of the Deputy Prime Minister.
