Kunming University of Science and Technology (formerly Kunming Institute of Technology), formerly affiliated to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, was once called "the top three in mining and metallurgy" with Northeast Institute of Technology (now Northeast University) and Central South University of Mining and Metallurgy (now Central South University). After half a century's efforts, Kunming University of Science and Technology is famous in metallurgy, materials and other fields. Metallurgical engineering and materials science and engineering are important bases for high-level personnel training and scientific research in their fields, and enjoy high reputation at home and abroad.

1954 Yunnan University (Institute of Technology) merged with Kunming Normal University (Mineral Geology) and was upgraded to Kunming University of Science and Technology. 1960 Yunnan Institute of Machinery merged into Kunming University of Science and Technology. 196 1 year, Yunnan Coal Institute, Yunnan Railway Institute, Gansu University of Technology (iron and steel metallurgy), Southern Yunnan University (engineering department) and Western Yunnan University (engineering department) merged to form a new Kunming Institute of Technology. 1995 In February, Kunming University of Science and Technology was renamed Kunming University of Science and Technology. 1999 10, Yunnan University of Technology merged into Kunming University of Science and Technology. In 2004, Yunnan Analysis and Testing Center was merged into Kunming University of Science and Technology.

The school currently has a national university science park. There are 1 National Engineering Research Center, 1 National Engineering Laboratory, 1 National Technology Transfer Center, 1 National University Science Park, 1 National Engineering Research Center Sub-center, 2 Engineering Research Centers of Ministry of Education, 1 Engineering Technology Center of Ministry of Environmental Protection. It has 2 provincial engineering technology research centers, 2 provincial testing stations, 2 provincial Industry-University-Research joint development centers, 3 Yunnan university engineering research centers, 2 key laboratories of Yunnan universities, 1 Yunnan energy efficiency center, 1 national industrial base, 1 Yunnan social science research base and 1 design with Grade A qualification.

At present, there are 1 national key discipline (nonferrous metallurgy), 1 national key cultivation discipline, 37 provincial key disciplines, 9 key disciplines jointly established by provinces and universities, 8 postdoctoral mobile stations, 5 first-class doctoral programs, 4 1 doctoral programs in two disciplines and 18 first-class master programs. There are 23 authorized areas of master of engineering and MBA, MFA and master of architecture, 7 national professional construction sites (metallurgical engineering, mechanical engineering and automation, mineral processing engineering, information management and information system, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, architecture and environmental engineering) and 5 provincial professional construction sites. There are 15 provincial key construction majors (civil engineering, material science and engineering, mineral processing engineering, industrial design, resource exploration engineering, mining engineering, renewable resources science and technology, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, engineering mechanics, chemical engineering and technology, thermal energy and power engineering, etc.). ).

Anhui University of Technology is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, in Maanshan City, Dongdaemun, Anhui Province. The school's predecessor was Maanshan Iron and Steel Industry School, which was founded in 1958. 1977, the former Ministry of Metallurgy transferred a large number of backbone teachers and management cadres of basic and professional courses from affiliated universities and Anhui provincial universities, and established Maanshan Iron and Steel College on this site. 1985 was renamed East China Institute of Metallurgy, which was then under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. From September 65438 to September 1998, the management system of "central and local governments * * *, with Anhui Province as the main management" was implemented. In June 2000, the Ministry of Education approved the renaming of Anhui University of Technology.

There are 55 undergraduate majors, including 4 national first-class majors, 2 provincial majors, 4 first-class master's programs, 365,438+0 master's programs, 65,438+0 professional degree awarding programs: MBA, and 5 engineering master's programs. There are 1 National Engineering Research Center (National Development and Reform Commission National Engineering Research Center for Efficient Recycling of Metal Mineral Resources), 1 Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education (Hydraulic Vibration and Control Engineering Research Center) and two Anhui Engineering Research Centers. It has 8 provincial engineering research centers, 4 provincial key laboratories,/kloc-0 provincial key research bases of humanities and social sciences, and 3 provincial basic course teaching experiment demonstration centers. There are 3 provincial education reform demonstration majors and 2 provincial key disciplines/kloc-0 (material processing engineering, environmental engineering, etc.). ). Among them, metallurgical engineering has become a key discipline in Anhui Province and a professional construction point with national characteristics.
