Jhu is equivalent to Peking University and Tsinghua in China. Jhu Johns Hopkins University, 1876 was founded, which is a world-famous private research university, the first research university in the United States and one of the founding schools of association of american universities 14. In 2020, QS World University ranked 24th and neighboring Peking University ranked 22nd, so jhu is equivalent to Peking University and Tsinghua in China.

The purpose of the Identity Initiative is that a unified and stronger Johns Hopkins University will benefit all alumni. Focusing on the core concept of integrity and unity, Hopkins has improved the independent logos of previous schools and institutions and designed a whole set of new logos based on the old school logos retained by major events such as graduation ceremony. The school leadership knows that the strength and brand of the whole university come from the integration of various components, and the brand-new logo with internal unity and connection is helpful to convey the whole of Johns Hopkins University to the society and the world.
