How to apply for a German university? German university application process
(1) Preparation of application materials

A complete and clear application material can increase the chances of applying for a university. There are two reasons: 1) the foreign affairs office of the university handles a huge amount of materials every day. Once the materials submitted by the applicant are not comprehensive, the decision of the Foreign Affairs Office in just a few tens of seconds may crush the possibility of studying abroad. 2) Even if the Foreign Affairs Office replies to the request to fill in all the materials and the applicants resend them, the mail between China and Germany (most of the applicants are in China) will often add anxiety to the already long waiting and even miss the application deadline.

1. Preparation of academic certificate

The application materials that foreign applicants need to submit are published on the relevant web pages of AAA(Akademischen auslandamt) in German universities.

The original APS audit certificate (APS Zertifkat) is essential, which is a prerequisite for the German Foreign Affairs Office to accept applications from China applicants. Don't forget to attach it.

In addition, for completeness, it is suggested that the applicant should also prepare the following documents:

1) Primary school diploma

2) Junior high school diploma

3) High school diploma

4) the scores of all subjects in the senior high school entrance examination.

5) Proof of scores of all subjects in the college entrance examination.

6) University transcripts of various disciplines each semester

7) University diploma and degree certificate (if you have graduated from university)

8) university attendance certificate (if you have not graduated from university)

The above eight certificates need to be translated (German, English, French, German is recommended) and notarized.

9) University Application Form

10) Personal detailed resume

1 1) ID photo 1 (where there is no photo on the application form, just clip it on your resume)

Some engineering majors in German universities need applicants to submit pre-school internship certificates. Therefore, if you have participated in an internship at school or worked after graduation, it is best to attach an internship or work certificate, indicating the start and end time, content and nature of the internship or work.

2. Proof of German learning time

? If a worker wants to do a good job, he must sharpen his tools first? . To study or live in Germany, you must have a good knowledge of German. As a non-German applicant, in addition to your academic qualifications, you must also submit a certificate that can prove your German level. So put it on purpose? German study hours certificate? List them separately to explain.

German universities (/schools) generally require foreign applicants to have at least 800 hours of German learning completion certificate when applying for admission, but German learning certificate is often not regarded as effective language proficiency certificate. Some universities in China provide opportunities for German training and learning. After obtaining the certificate of completion equivalent to the intermediate level of 800- 1000, send it to the university together with the application materials.

It is worth noting that studying German for 800 hours in China is still not recognized as having sufficient German level. The relative shortage of college languages leads to higher and higher requirements for applicants' German level, which tends to be unified. Some universities need applicants to submit the DSH certificate, TestDaF certificate or ZMP certificate of Goethe Institute when applying for admission, so as to provide admission opportunities. Therefore, when applying, we must pay attention to the specific requirements of German universities for German certification.

At present, taking Shanghai Tongji University 1000 hour German intermediate graduation certificate as an example, this paper lists the different processing results that may be obtained when applying for different German universities, which vary from person to person and are for reference only:

Uni Essen can enter the college language class and reapply for professional study after the study.

Uni des Saarlandes can enter college language classes and reapply for professional study after the study.

Uni Passau got the opportunity to take the DSH exam and entered the professional study after passing the exam.

Bochum University was given the opportunity to take the DSH exam, and entered the professional study after passing the exam.

Uni W? Rzburg got the opportunity to take the DSH exam and entered the professional study after passing the exam.

Uni Kaiserslautern got the opportunity to take the DSH exam and entered the professional study after passing the exam.

Uni Greifswald got the grading exam, passed the short-term training course, and then took the DSH. After passing, he can enter the professional study.

Tudresden, for majors that don't start classes in summer, first takes graded exams, after a semester of language and professional preparation, takes the final exam DSH, and then enters professional study after passing.

Uni Bielefeld can get the opportunity to take the DSH exam directly when applying for winter admission; DSH exams are not provided in summer, and summer admission applications are not accepted.

Giessen University is not effectively recognized, and the application for admission is not accepted.

The University of Brunswick is not effectively recognized and the application for admission is not accepted.

Uni Ulm is not effectively recognized and the application for admission is not accepted.

Uni Koblenz-Landau DSH exam has a limited number of places in the local area and does not accept applications for admission.

ZMP certificate can be obtained by studying at Goethe Institute in Beijing. Some universities in Shanghai, Beijing, Han and other places have provided DSH examinations in cooperation with German universities. China holds the TestDaF exam twice a year in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Xi. Certificates obtained after passing these examinations are regarded as German proficiency certificates recognized by Germany. Applicants can decide whether to take such exams in China according to their own conditions, which increases the possibility of successfully applying for universities.

Take the above-mentioned Giessen University as an example, the domestic 1 0,000 class hours are still not enough to apply for admission. However, if the TestDaF score submitted at the time of application is above 4 points in listening, speaking, reading and writing, you can enroll in Giessen University and take the DSH exam. If the TestDaF scores are all out of 5, you can start professional study directly without taking the DSH exam.

In addition, if you want to study in a college language class, you often have to take the Einstein Einstufungstest in the college language class before, so the previous German study is not only to get the qualification for admission, but also to lay a solid foundation.

Everyone has an ideal college and major, and there are many factors that affect the choice when applying for a university. Hear a lot of people ask? Which school is the best for a certain major? ? Questions like this. In fact, German institutions of higher learning are not ranked at the official level, and there is no distinction between key and non-key. Each school has a different history and scale, and has its own characteristics and professional settings.

This website also clearly shows the settings of various majors in the university, and the use method is similar to that of the previous website, so I won't go into details here.

2. Choose a suitable university rationally.

Everyone has a standard to measure a university, such as major focus, scientific research strength, study time, school facilities, the interactive relationship between professors and students, geographical environment, urban characteristics, the location of relatives and friends in Germany and a series of subjective and objective factors can affect the degree of preference for universities.

In cooperation with CHE, the German magazine Stern ranks many majors in German universities (Uni) and the Institute of Applied Technology (FH) every year, and this ranking lists many indicators of each major in each university. This ranking is undoubtedly of great reference value for students who want to study in Germany to choose their own majors and schools. The appendix describes how to query this ranking with the help of the Internet.
