Huaqiao University Xiamen Institute of Engineering and Technology (Xiamen Technician College) is a full-time higher vocational college invested and built by Xiamen Municipal Government. In 2004, Huaqiao University Vocational and Technical College Xiamen Branch was established, and Huaqiao University Metalworking Teaching Practice Base was established. In 2007, with the consent of Xiamen Municipal Government and Huaqiao University, Huaqiao University Xiamen Vocational and Technical College was established. On February 25, 2009, with the approval of Huaqiao University, Xiamen Vocational and Technical College of Huaqiao University was renamed as Xiamen Engineering and Technical College of Huaqiao University.
