Cheng Zhihua, 1965, a native of Wuqiang County, Hebei Province. 1September 1983 to1July 1987, studied philosophy in the philosophy department of Hebei University and obtained a bachelor's degree in philosophy. 1September, 1994 to1July, 1997, he studied philosophy in China, Department of Philosophy, Hebei University, and obtained a master's degree in philosophy. From September 5438, 2006 to June 2004, China Renmin University studied philosophy in China, and obtained a doctorate in philosophy. During 2003-2004, he studied in the Philosophy Department of the University of Kentucky. At present, he is assistant to the president of Hebei University, director of development planning office, secretary general of academic committee, professor of philosophy department of Hebei University, doctoral supervisor, and concurrently director of international confucian association, executive director of China Modern Philosophy Research Association, member of Philosophy Teaching Committee of Ministry of Education, deputy director of Hebei Philosophy Teaching Committee, and vice president of Hebei Confucianism Research Association. His main research interests are China's modern philosophy and comparative philosophy between China and the West. In recent years, he has published more than 60 articles in famous domestic journals, such as Philosophical Research, History of China Philosophy, Literature, History and Philosophy, and Academic Monthly. Many articles were reprinted by Xinhua Digest, Copies of NPC Materials and Academic Digest of Liberal Arts in Colleges and Universities. He is the author of six books, including Dilemma and Transformation: Interpretation of Huang Zongxi's Philosophical Texts, Research on Mou Zongsan's Philosophy, History of Modern Confucianism in China and Research on Xiong Shili's Philosophy. He has undertaken many projects, such as the national social science fund project "the trend of modern neo-Confucianism" and the humanities and social science project "the study of Mu Zongsan's philosophy" of the Ministry of Education. Four achievements won the first prize of outstanding achievements in social sciences in Hebei Province and the third prize of outstanding achievements in humanities and social sciences in the Ministry of Education.
