1, shantou polytechnic: This college is a full-time general higher vocational college sponsored by Shantou Municipal People's Government with the approval of Guangdong Provincial People's Government on March 29th, 2002. It was established on the basis of the former Shantou Institute of Education, Shantou Commercial Supply and Marketing School, Shantou Electromechanical School and Shantou Teachers' Further Education School. The college covers an area of 125 1.5 mu. College consists of headquarters, Jinyuan Campus, Xinjin Campus and Dongdun Campus.

2. Shantou Technician College: founded in 1963, formerly known as Shantou Technical School and Shantou No.2 Technical School. It is the earliest full-time public technical college established in eastern Guangdong, and it is a national key technical college integrating technical education, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship training, skill appraisal and employment service.

3. Guangdong Shantou Education College: Located at No.23 Jinyuan Road, jinping district, Shantou City, it is the predecessor of Guangdong Shantou Kindergarten Teachers College. In 1990s, the college gave priority to the development of normal education and trained a batch of normal talents. It used to be a public normal university represented by eastern Guangdong. In 2002, Shantou Education College was merged into shantou polytechnic.
