Located in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province.

Lanzhou University originated from the west and outer cities of the old city of Lanzhou. Up to now, the street number across the outer city still has the words "Cui Yingmen". After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the school site has been moved to the southeast of Huancheng Road outside the old city of Lanzhou.

Although Lanzhou is a prosperous area today, the urban area did not expand to this point at that time. The former site of Lanzhou University is now the Second Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou University.
