The history of middlesex University can be traced back to19th century. After more than 100 years of expansion and improvement, the school has also developed from the original Tottenham campus to the present 13 campus, which is distributed in the urban area of northern London. In June 2023, it was published in the 2024QS World University Rankings, and middlesex University ranked 6 1-670.

Middlesex University won the Queen's Anniversary Award three times and the Millennium Award of the Design Committee twice, and its learning assistance resources also received the highest rating.
