Athletes participating in the competition must be citizens of People's Republic of China (PRC), and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education on the unified entrance examination and admission of ordinary colleges and universities across the country (as well as relevant special enrollment policies), the college admissions committee (office) of the university where the candidates are located will assess and enroll the college students (register with the College Student Department of the Ministry of Education). Athletes from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions are not subject to this clause, but they must provide permanent residence permits for residents of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions at the time of competition.

All registered athletes must be 18-28 years old, and they must not be over 22 years old when they enter the university (junior college or undergraduate course) (starting from 20 13, freshmen must not be over 20 years old).

Anyone who has participated in the Super League, Chinese Football League I and Chinese Football League II shall not participate in the competition (subject to the above-mentioned competition order book published by China Football Association). In the name of the school to participate in the above competition (excluding sports schools, football schools and secondary specialized schools of the same nature), must be reported to the China University Sports Association for approval before participating.

Athletes may not participate in the league for more than four times during their undergraduate and junior college years; During the postgraduate study, the number of times to participate in the league is no more than two (all are subject to the league order book published by China University Sports Association).

Students who are admitted according to the method of recruiting high-level athletes in ordinary colleges and universities, as well as students majoring in physical education in physical education colleges and normal universities, are not allowed to participate in campus team competitions. Students who have participated in the super group competition are not allowed to participate in the campus group competition.
