Shigao Town is located in the Er 'e Mountain section at the middle foot of Longquan Mountain in central Sichuan, bordering the western Sichuan Plain, with mountains, water, hills and dams connected. It belongs to Pingba shallow hilly landform area, with high terrain in the east and low terrain in the west, with an altitude of 300-700 m, commonly known as "Renshou North Gate", and is the central town in the north of Renshou County.

Dujiangyan Dongfeng Canal runs through the branch canal for more than 200 kilometers, irrigating 10,000 mu of fertile land, and ensuring the harvest in drought and flood.

China has a warm and humid climate, which belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate. The annual average temperature is about 18.6℃, the annual sunshine is about 1280 hours, the annual rainfall is about 1000㎜, the frost-free period is 3 10 days, and the dominant wind direction is the north wind.

The geological structure unit is located at the junction of Longquan folded vehicle, central Sichuan platform arch and Weiyuan dome in the western Sichuan platform depression. Longquan Mountain inclines from northeast to southwest. The basement on the west side of the anticline belongs to Xiongpo-Yanjinggou flying zone in the western Sichuan platform depression. The vast area in the southeast belongs to the central Sichuan platform arch, and the southern end is Weiyuan dome structure.

There are many kinds of soils, which are widely suitable for planting. The gray-brown purple soil that mainly produces corn is brown-purple soil with moderate sand adhesion, rich fertility, rich phosphorus and potassium, and good drainage area. It is acidic old alluvial yellow soil suitable for planting rice and tea.
