De Montfort University (DMU), located in Leicester, East Midlands, is a comprehensive university with high quality and creativity. Its predecessor was Leicester Art Institute, which was founded in 1870.
Later, it developed into Leicester College of Arts and Technology and Leicester Institute of Technology until it evolved into De Montfort University. In memory of Simon demont Ford, the university was named demont Ford.
He was once the sixth Earl of Leicester, a great man. In the Middle Ages, he established the first parliament in England at 1265. The college has 22,000 students and 2,700 faculty members from more than 65,438+000 countries around the world. At present, the school has five colleges, namely College of Art and Design, College of Commercial Law, College of Technology, College of Life and Health Sciences and College of Humanities, and three specialized research institutions.
