Focusing on the overall goal of "sound personality, solid foundation, outstanding ability, comprehensive quality and international vision", this major strives to cultivate high-quality German talents with solid professional cultural foundation, extensive scientific and cultural knowledge, skilled language expression ability and independent working ability, all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, and capable of engaging in foreign trade, finance, tourism, foreign affairs, journalism, publishing, education and scientific research.

In addition to the main courses such as comprehensive German (including basic comprehensive German and advanced comprehensive German), German pronunciation, German grammar, German listening, German conversation, German reading, German writing and second foreign language (English), this major also offers courses such as German media information, translation theory and practice, tourism interpretation, business interpretation, business translation, scientific and technological translation, simultaneous interpretation, political economy of German-speaking countries, and cross-cultural economic practice.

The German major has a zero starting point, and students are required to take the national professional German Test Band 4 and Band 8 in the second and fourth grades respectively. In addition, this major has established cooperative relations with German universities such as Leipzig University, and will send students to Germany for exchange and study in the second or third year.

Awarded Degree: The Russian major of Bachelor of Arts mainly trains Russian professionals with solid Russian language foundation, reasonable knowledge structure, good comprehensive quality, strong practical ability and innovative spirit, who can be competent in translation, foreign economy, foreign trade, culture, news, tourism, public relations, secretaries, editors, scientific research and other professional fields.

This major is the zero starting point of Russian. In the first and second grades, students should not only learn Russian, but also strengthen and consolidate English as a second foreign language and pass the CET-6. This major also adopts the training mode of 2+ 1+ 1, that is, the first and second grades have laid a good foundation in China and passed the national professional Russian examination of Band 4. The third grade will be sent to the target language country (Russian-speaking country) to study for one year, and the fourth grade will return to China to take the national TEM-8 professional Russian exam, write a graduation thesis and participate in the graduation defense.

This major mainly includes translation and foreign trade, and has a master's degree in Russian language and social culture. Courses offered are:

Practice Russian (basic and advanced), Russian grammar, Russian listening (elementary, intermediate and advanced), Russian speaking (elementary, intermediate and advanced), writing (general and official document writing), Russian-Chinese translation, advanced Russian audio-visual speaking, economic and trade Russian, Russian country survey, Russian science and technology, tourism translation, comprehensive English, selected reading of Russian classics, extensive reading and news listening. You can graduate after completing 170 credits.

Degree conferring: Bachelor of Arts majors mainly train students who have solid basic knowledge and skills of Japanese language and are proficient in Japanese listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation; Talents who can use Japanese accurately, fluently and appropriately and have strong practical ability in Japanese teaching. Graduates of this major can be competent for Japanese teaching and research, translation, foreign affairs, tourism, secretarial work and so on in middle and higher schools.

This major now has the direction of Japanese education undergraduate major. Relying on the authorization point of master's degree in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, there is a research direction of master's degree in Japanese teaching theory. Courses offered mainly include: comprehensive Japanese, basic phonetics, Japanese reading, Japanese grammar, conversation, listening, audio-visual speaking, Japanese writing, general situation of Japan, Japanese newspaper reading, Japanese grammar, selected reading of ancient Chinese, Japanese listening as a foreign language, translation theory and practice, Japanese teaching method, tourist Japanese, Japanese literature history, selected reading of modern Japanese literature, comparative study of Chinese and Japanese culture, modern Chinese and writing, and modern Japanese literature.

Awarded degree: Bachelor of Arts mainly trains senior English professionals with solid basic knowledge of English language, extensive cultural knowledge, strong English language application ability and English teaching practice ability, and can engage in scientific research, translation, foreign affairs, tourism, secretarial work and management.

Courses offered include translation theory and practice, introduction to sociolinguistics, introduction to pragmatics, survey of English-speaking countries, western culture, English poetry, English prose, English drama, middle school English curriculum standards, foreign language teaching theory, foreign language education evaluation, modern foreign language education technology, British (American) literature history and selected reading, and English.

Degree awarded: Bachelor of Arts English (non-normal) major includes two major directions: foreign trade English and translation. After a year of study and training of professional basic knowledge and skills, students will be diverted in the second year. Students can choose their own majors according to their professional interests and employment prospects.

This major mainly trains high-quality English professionals who have a solid English language foundation, rich cultural knowledge, strong foreign economic and trade operation ability and English-Chinese oral and written translation ability, and are fully developed morally, intellectually and physically, and can engage in foreign trade business management and English-Chinese translation in various enterprises and institutions.

In addition to the basic knowledge and skills of English language, courses offered in foreign trade English and translation include: international trade practice, foreign trade English, business English, correspondence and negotiation, business administration, finance, economic management principles, contemporary world economy and politics; English-Chinese translation skills, translation theory and practice, literary translation appreciation, business translation, scientific translation, translation history, interpretation, translation evaluation, etc.
