Brief introduction of the School of Port, Coast and Offshore Engineering of Hohai University
The predecessor of the Institute of Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering can be traced back to the Department of Waterway and Port Engineering of East China Institute of Water Conservancy, which was founded in 1952. 1985 was renamed as the Department of Ship and Ocean Engineering, and 1995 jointly established the School of Port Waterway and Coastal Engineering with the College of Coastal and Ocean Engineering. In 2000, it was renamed School of Transportation and Ocean Engineering, and in 2004, it was renamed School of Transportation and Ocean Engineering (two brands). In the history of running a school for more than 50 years, well-known scholars such as Professor Yan Kai, an academician of the two academies, have worked or studied in the college successively.
