Wang Chengxin, professor, doctoral supervisor. In February, 2002, he graduated from the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials of Jilin University with a doctorate in condensed matter physics. From April 2003 to June 2005, he was engaged in postdoctoral research in the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technology of Sun Yat-sen University. From June 2005 to June 2007, he served as a JSPS distinguished researcher in tokyo institute of technology Institute of Materials, Japan (funded by Japan Association for the Promotion of Learning); In June 2007, he was selected into the Hundred Talents Program of Sun Yat-sen University and was employed by the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technology of Sun Yat-sen University.

At present, the main research directions are: the design, application and theoretical research of low-dimensional photoelectric functional materials; Study on high-pressure physical properties of low-dimensional materials: research on wide-band gap semiconductor materials and devices.

Main scientific research projects: 1 General Project of National Natural Science Foundation (presided over); Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China-Guangdong Joint Fund 1 (Cooperation).
