The Historical Evolution of Peking University Student Union
During the May 4th Movement, the leaders of Peking University Student Affairs Association were Gao, Li, and Li. The top conductor of the Open Movement is a female middle school student, Guo 18 years old, who was elected as the president of the Student Union by the Anti-Japanese and National Salvation Federation of Peking University and Middle School Students.

After the founding of New China, Peking University Student Union held its first student congress in 1954, which became a new starting point for the democratic construction of college students in New China. 1979 the 12th student union creatively separated the executive and supervisory organs of the student union, and established the executive committee and the standing representative meeting of the student union; 1998 the election system of the 25th student congress passed the mid-term adjustment measures of the student union. The current organization of Peking University Student Union consists of the Standing Committee of the Student Union (hereinafter referred to as the Standing Committee) and the Executive Committee of the Student Union (hereinafter referred to as the Executive Committee). The Standing Committee is the permanent authority of the student union when the student congress is not in session, and exercises the functions and powers entrusted by the student congress. Be responsible for explaining the student union's constitution, making decisions on major issues, reflecting students' opinions and safeguarding students' rights and interests. Representatives are democratically elected from the representatives of the student congress and are responsible to the members of their colleges and departments. Members of the Standing Committee democratically elect a chairman and two to three vice-chairmen of the Standing Committee, and the chairman and vice-chairmen of the Standing Committee form a chairman group. The Executive Committee is the executive body of the Students' Union. It consists of more than ten departments (slightly changed according to needs), and presides over campus academic, scientific, literary, sports, practical activities and inter-school, inter-regional and international student exchange activities. The presidium of the Executive Committee is the leading body of the Executive Committee, with one chairman and three to six vice-chairmen.

The regular meeting departments are: office, finance department, rules and theory department, supervision department, rights and interests department, proposal research department and publicity and liaison department. The departments of the Executive Committee are: Office, Key Training Department, Propaganda Department, External Relations Department, International Exchange Department, Welfare Department, Life Department, Literature and Art Department, Culture Department, Sports Department, Academic Department, Practice Department and Development Department.
