Training objectives
China minority language and literature major (Korean language and literature direction) adheres to the guidance of Marxism, and cultivates students with firm and correct political direction, solid professional foundation and strong practical and innovative ability; Have an international vision and development potential, and systematically master the basic theories and knowledge of China language and literature disciplines and related minority language and literature majors; It has strong literary perception, reading ability of literary classics, aesthetic evaluation ability and the ability to skillfully use national lingua franca and minority languages for written and oral expression. After graduation, students can engage in teaching, scientific research, translation, administration, press and publication in the field of minority languages and literature on the basis of professional knowledge, with modern information technology and foreign language ability as the wings.
Cultivate characteristics
Students majoring in Korean language and literature have mastered their mother tongue and national lingua franca within four years, and the first foreign language has passed the national band 4 or above. The second foreign language lays a solid foundation for self-study and gives full play to their language advantages. In the discipline construction, we should emphasize the combination of literary theory and cultural innovation.
Students in this major are free of tuition. Excellent students can enter the "China Minority Language and Literature Professional Base Class" from the second grade and enjoy the "base class" treatment. Among them, the first 45% can be recommended to study for a master's degree without examination.
This major has cooperative relations with many Korean universities such as Seoul National University, Yonsei University and Korea University. Nearly half of the students go to Korean universities as exchange students for half a year or a year.
The main required courses are: Modern Chinese, Introduction to Linguistics, Introduction to Literature, Introduction to China Minority Languages, Introduction to China Minority Languages (North Korea), History of China Minority Classical Literature (North Korea), Introduction to China Minority Language Translation Classics (North Korea), Introduction to China Minority Folk Literature (North Korea) and so on.
The main elective courses are: Korean Lexicology, Language Contrast in Han Dynasty, Korean Literature Reading Practice, Chinese-Korean Simultaneous Interpretation, Literary Creation and Practice, Literary Criticism Methodology, Oriental Literature Reading, Korean Classical Literature and Cultural Creative Industry, Korean History, Introduction to New Media, Folklore and Korean Folklore.
Employment and further study prospects
Through four years' study, students of this major have laid a solid foundation in Chinese (Korean), English and Japanese languages, cultivated innovative thinking, mastered language contrast theory, translation skills and creative skills, and adapted to teaching, scientific research, cultural creativity, journalism, publishing and translation related to this major.
The related fields of students' further study include: comparative study of Chinese language, comparative study of Korean and Korean languages, comparative study of modern Korean and dialects, Korean classical literature, Korean contemporary literature, Korean literature in China, Korean modern literature and Korean folk culture in China. His doctoral research interests include Korean language research, Korean classical literature research, Korean literature research, Korean contemporary literature research, Korean modern literature research and so on.
The academic system and degree system are four years, and the bachelor of arts degree is awarded after graduation.
