Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, located in Beijing, is a national key university with Chinese medicine as its discipline directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. It is a national first-class construction university, relying on the national 2 1 1 project and the 985 project innovation platform. A pilot university for the reform of excellent doctor education and training plan, a founding member of the World-class Chinese Medicine University Construction Alliance and the Beijing Excellent Medical Talents Training University Alliance, has been selected into the national11plan, the national high-level university public graduate program, the national undergraduate innovation experiment plan, the national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, the national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, the demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, and the recipient institution of the China Municipal Government's scholarship for overseas students.
