Articles 9 to 11 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) Municipality on Medical Practitioners stipulate that persons who meet one of the following conditions may take the qualification examination for medical practitioners.

Have a bachelor's degree or above in medical major in colleges and universities, and complete a one-year probation period in medical, preventive and health care institutions under the guidance of licensed doctors.

Having obtained the practicing certificate of practicing assistant physician, having a medical college degree in colleges and universities, and having worked in medical, preventive and health care institutions for two years; Get a medical degree from a secondary specialized school and have worked in medical, preventive and health care institutions for five years.
