He used to be director of general physics teaching and research section, deputy director of physics department, executive deputy director of experiment center of physics department, and vice president of school of physical science and engineering. In recent years, he has been mainly engaged in the research of quantum optical processes in special environments, including photonic crystal microstructure, left-handed materials and quantum optical processes, quantum algebra and its physical applications. , and won the title of Shanghai science and technology rising star/rising star, the first prize of Shanghai education achievement, the first prize of national education achievement, and the special prize of excellent teachers of Baosteel Education Foundation. He is currently the dean of the School of Physical Science and Engineering of Tongji University.
